“Delightful park! Right on the Rogue River!”
Review of Riverside Park

The park is well kept. Over the years we have seen trees blow down and the Gazebo destroyed by fallen trees in a storm. Things are quickly cleaned up and trees replaced. We even have a new Gazebo! People love feeding the ducks and geese, unfortunately that area can be understandably messy. Watch where you walk.
There is a terrific playground for youngsters, picnic areas, and wonderful events each year. Jet boat rides take off from the other side of the river and are enjoyable to watch.
We have lived here 29 years and the park is improving all of the time.

This by far our favorite park. Love that its shady and right along the river. The playground still has things from when I was a kid buts all in good working order. If you are looking for a great park this is it.

love the diversity of trees, quiet locations, right next to the Rogue River - you can come here to relax or hear concerts in the park

A large park to take walks in. Clean with seating throughout the grounds, restrooms, childrens play area and picnic tables, a soccer field, baseball diamond and is the central hub location for the annual, "Boatnic" celebration the end of May with thousands of visitors watching boat races and becoming involved with all kinds of activies. Lots of shade trees in the park. Usually the parking can be close to whatever little space you want to claim as yours. The Rogue River runs through the north side of the park. It is a relaxing area to visit. Bring some bread to feed the ducks and geese by the river but watch your tiny ones, they can become overwhelmed by the birds noted above, as many as 50 can gather to be fed, not including the pigeons flying down from the trees. Walk down to the rivers edge and stick your toes in, the cold river water is refreshing during the hot summer months. One caution to you, especially to women, it is not a park to walk in by yourself during the evening hours and I would even watch myself during the day. Not saying it is a scary place and to carry a weapon but in todays society, be aware of your surrounding.

Excellent entertainment for the whole family... feed the ducks and watch the jetboats go by. The ducks and geese are there year round and even little children can enjoy feeding them bread... we come from Medford just to do that and it's always worth the trip!
