“Weaskuinn the best...!”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

I had the opportunity to visit and stay at Weaskuinn on Christmas Eve this past Holiday Season.
My first impression of this Beautiful Rustic Inn on the Rogue River was not only it's location and Comfortable 'Log Cabin' feel, but the Staff.
Zackie was wonderful-she was the Front Desk Clerk on duty on Christmas Eve...Weaskuinn could NOT have a more warm and Charming Host.
From Zackie, it was the excellent accomodations to the Outstanding Breakfast and all it's wonderful selections to the Consistency to the other Staff Members.
On top of this, Weaskuinn also offers for sale my all-time Favorite Wines-Any Red Wine from Southwest Oregon (Rogue, Applegate Valleys, etc...!)
What a slice of Heaven-The Lodge, the Staff, the Food and the River...
Can't wait to return...!

-Rob from Bellingham, WA

The interior of this riverfront cabin is awesome, real timbers, rustic furnishings, fabulous king bed & bedding, fireplace, comfy sofa, table for two, double sinks in bath room, robes, coffee maker, covered porch with big chairs and breakfast delivered to your door at the appointed time! Oh, and there are appetizers in the lodge after 4 p.m. then warm cookies. What more could you want amongst the old trees and peaceful setting at Weasku Inn!?

The whole experience made us wishing we could stay longer, and we will return!

I was in the area on businees and somewhat hesistant to stay here thinking it wouldnt have wifi or that it would be too isolated but the stay was absolutely perfect! So great that i am planning on making another trip for fun!

the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and i feel that Edie and Zacky really went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and ensure that i had everything i could possibly need!.

Upon arrival i was given a appetizer plate that was delicious and such a nice and welcoming touch!

I only have wonderful things to say and stay in the Clark Gable room!

My husband and I decided to take a weekend getaway and found Weasku Inn. We had a lovely time. The hostess was warm and welcoming, as was the ambience of the lodge. Our cottage was lovely with a fireplace and view of the Rogue River. We were greeted in our cottage with a bottle of champagne and chocolates. Delightful. However, the continental breakfast served in the morning and light hors d'oeuvres served in the evening were substandard for an Inn of that quality. Overall it was a wonderful visit.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Weasku Inn.
I glad to hear that our staff and the property met your expectations. I am sorry to hear that what we had prepared for appetizers during your stay did not meet your expectations. We are consistently refining and improving what we offer for food service based on seasonally available options. I hope that during your next stay with us that you find our appetizers more to your liking.

Our cabin was clean and neat. Fireplace was great ,bed very comfortable..Lodge was great, with good people to help you with whatever you needed..Continental breakfast could use a little more variety but was just ok. Not alot to do in Grants Pass in winter, might try fishing.

My father lived near the Weasku Inn back in the 40's and my grandmother worked there as a maid. I was driving my daughter home to California from Oregon State, and decided to see how the Weasku Inn had changed over the last 70 years. My daughter and I didn't know what to expect as all we had to go on was a description provided by my father from when he lived there 70 years ago. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. We got a late start out of Corvallis and the night clerk called us on the way to let us know where we could find a key if we arrived too late. We made it before the front desk closed, and we just felt very welcome. The night clerk was really nice, and the check in process was simple. The main lodge is really cool. The Inn has been refurbished and it made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The Weasku Inn was a well known hideaway for movie stars in the 40's and 50's and you could see why the chose this place. Great location right on the Rogue River. The cabin was great with high ceilings highlighted by cool all wood beams. A great fireplace and extremely comfortable couch and bed. Very nice size bathroom, and I spent the night on the couch in front of the fireplace. We had a great breakfast at the lodge the next morning. Homemade cinnamon rolls, and blueberry muffins were to die for! We hated to leave and get back on the road. Next time we intend to spend a extra day or so exploring the area. If you want a very unique experience, in a great location, with a great staff, I highly recommend you stop by the Weasku Inn! You will feel like Clark Gable :-)

Room Tip: All the rooms face the river, so sit out on the porch and enjoy nature!

What a find! We decided to plan a last-minute getaway for New Years' Eve and literally stumbled upon the Weasku Inn on Expedia. It looked and sounded like a "too good to be true" property. Upon our arrival, it surpassed any expectation that we may have had! From the story-telling of the staff about Hollywood legends that had stayed there years ago, to the modern comfortable and quiet accommodations, it was just the most amazing experience.I plan to book another visit as soon as I complete this review. It is a must for anyone reading this. Oh, by the way, the nightly chocolate chip cookies, late afternoon goodies, and the very generous continental breakfast are the icing on an already rich cake ;) Zackie and Edie, thank you for your hospitality. You are special.

Room Tip: Book a cabin on the river. They are modern, spacious and quiet.

This Oregon legend was built in 1924 along the banks of the scenic Rogue River. It was a vacation retreat to many Hollywood personalities such as Clark Gable, Carol Lombard and Walt Disney. In 1993, Country House Inns purchased the Weasku Inn and began restoring it. In September of 1998, the restoration was complete, the five rooms in the Lodge having been updated, while the original character and splendor was maintained. In addition, eleven cabins were built on the property and an original A Frame cabin remodeled. Since its completion, "Travel and Leisure Magazine" named this historic landmark "one of the top 25 Lodges in the United States".
