“"Wonderful! Even better than we expected!"”
Reviewed August 16, 2011

If you are looking for a beautiful place to retreat in Oregon, the Weasku Inn in Grants Pass is the place! My husband and two teenage daughters and I chose to stay there on the return road trip from Portland back home to San Diego based on the TripAdvisor reviews and pictures. We have found in the past some times places can be over rated, so we were all so wonderfully surprised to find this treasure to be even more than we expected! We stayed two nights in a darling cabin over looking the river with our own private back patio. The cabin, grounds, and lodge were immaculate. The surroundings were pristine, green with beautiful trees, and very tranquil, so much so that we chose to play cards on the lodge deck overlooking the grounds over going any where else. The special touches from warm cookies each evening and a fabulous light breakfast with options of freshly baked scones and cinnamon rolls just made the trip all the more sweet. To top it all off, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and especially, Allison, who made us feel at home from the moment we drove in late our first evening. Plus she recommended a must experience old fashion little soda fountain with the best ice cream and old fashion sodas in historic downtown called the Grant's Pass Pharmacy that we all just loved.
In closing, on our next road trip to Portland, we will eagerly look forward to planning a couple of days retreat at the Wesaku Inn! Be sure and stay here, you'll be so glad you did!

If you have dreamed of living in a lodge or cabin that is welcoming, well-decorated, homey, and truly reflecting life in the woods, then this is the place to stay. We wish we could have stayed longer than just one night. Make sure you have mosquito repellent in the summer if you're a mosquito-magnet!

Room Tip: Our room had the most wonderful window seat! We enjoyed our hors d'oeuvres and a bottle of wine...

We were on a road trip and Grants Pass was the most logical place to stop for the night. I thought it was a truck-stop with lots of cheap motels.
The Weasku Inn was such a nice surprise! Situated on a river which flows past the rooms, this old motel has been updated to perfection. From registration and the wine and cheese reception to our wonderful, comfortably and tastefully decorated room we loved our stay. The linens were good quality, and the bed was very comfortable. Our room had a little patio overlooking the river. You do not feel like you are in an updated motel, it feels like a rustic resort.
They don't have a restaurant, but are adjacent to a restaurant that has up-scale pub food.
Breakfast is included and fresh cinnamon rolls were baking when we walked in. Pam was a delight, and told us we should take some food for the road!

This Inn was located just outside the city of Grants' Pass, Oregon....a perfect "jumping off" point for our Rogue River Raft trip as well as a view of the river from our window on the Rogue. Front desk was courteous and very helpful. Breakfast, an expanded Continental, offered varied items including bagels, cereal, oatmeal, biscuits & gravy, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc.. Each afternoon wine & snacks were offered as well as wine tasting. The grounds were beautiful and lawn chairs beckoned us to sit & sip for a while! Our cabin faced the river and included a porch & chairs for viewing. One minor improvement could be made. The tv in our room could not be swiveled to allow viewing from the bed. However, that would never keep us from returning!

Room Tip: The cabins closest to the river are furthest away from the road & possible road noise.

Nestled in the trees on the banks of the Rogue River, Weasku Inn is located just outside Grants Pass in Rogue River city. Apparently they have been annexed by Grants Pass as the address seems to indicate. The great room, registration area is a warm and welcoming place, we were greeted by a friendly manager and the smell of fresh baked cookies sitting on a plate by the entrance. Our room was a charming and spacious with wood burning fireplace, a big fourposter bed with steps next to it to climb up and snuggle under the quilt, a sitting area with small refrigerator and coffee maker and a large bathroom with soaking tub and double shower. The cabin porch featured 2 comfortable rockers and faced the Rogue, visible through the trees. Breakfast is attractively laid out buffet style with waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fresh fruit, toasts, bagels, HB eggs, coffee and yummy pastry. Appetizers in the evening are served with tastes of wine. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would suggest that one not opt for the wine country package as several of the wineries were closed, some can be difficult to find even with GPS and there may be some you wish to visit that aren't included in the package. Best to just pay the small tasting fees (seemed to be about $5) and select where you want to go. There is a swimming pool available for guests at another facility in the area. We didn't check it out.
Overall, we loved this place and would hope to return.

Room Tip: The Jacuzzi suite was great but any cabin facing the river is probably pretty good

The cabins were very nice with stone fireplaces, super cozy beds, comfortable couch for watching TV, many windows and private deck. The setting was lovely.

Downfall: No restaurant and the inn is not conveniently located near restaurants. Also parking is situated away from the cabins,

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Oregon. What a find! We stayed in one of the cabins on the river and loved it. They are so clean and updated yet still look like a log cabin (with high ceilings) inside. The wine and cheese party in the afternoon was so nice and the staff is very welcoming. We especially enjoyed our conversation with Allison. The freshly baked cookies at night were a bonus! We will definitely be back and stay longer.
