This restaurant is a real treat-both visually and for dining. It is family-owned and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Our waiter, Marcos, was wonderful, he stopped and visited with us and was very nice. The food portions are good (I have attached a pic of one of our meals, (the chicken crema? or something like that!) The menu is extensive and contains the typical items found in a Mexican restaurant. The place is decorated wonderfully- very colorful! It'll cheer you even on the gloomiest days! Marcos told us the tables and chairs are from Mexico- I'd love some for my house! One room has a wall painted with a mural, and the hallway to the restrooms is just gorgeus with more wall paintings. (Actually the restrooms themselves are painted also.) It's nice to go to a place where the owners paid attention to the atmosphere of the place-some restaurants are so bland looking-not this one! They really spiced the place up! Prices are reasonable-good place for the whole family. Another plus is the outdoor patio-I also included a pic of this seating area- a great place on nice days. The restaurant is right across the street from Riverside Park, so the view in that direction is nice, eventhough it is bordered on the other side by a busy street. I would definatly recommend El Paraiso-enjoy!
