Owner description: Wildlife Images is non-profit wildlife rehabilitation and education center in beautiful Southern Oregon. We have been a non-profit since 1981, when our mission of Saving Wildlife started. Our center includes a wildlife hospital for wild patients and permanent residents, youth camps throughout the year, and over 80 permanent residents who cannot be released back to the wild. By taking a tour you can view a great assortment of birds, smaller mammals, reptiles, and large mammals such as cougars, bears and wolves! The tours provide a unique, up-close encounter with wildlife that is not seen every day.

“Wonderful place to spend time!”

I enjoyed every minute spent at this facility. They do so much for the many creatures that they've rescued.

“An informative and enjoyable tour”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

There were a wide variety of animals here -- some that are indigenous to the Pacific Northwest and some from far away. and our guide was very knowledgeable and compassionate. Many of the stories are sad, as most of the animals on the tour cannot be reintroduced into their natural habitat for various reasons. However, it is clear that these creatures have come to a good place. It also made me happy that the price of our tour ($10 each) goes to support this rehabilitation center, which is apparently quite well known and well regarded.

The point that the guide drove home during our tour is that wild animals are not pets, and disaster often ensues when humans try to keep them as such. I learned a lot, and I especially think it would be good for children to see and hear.

“Wildlife Images - Very Educational & Very Important”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We have visited Wildlife Images a number of times, & enjoyed each visit very much. They take very good care of the animals they rescue, & provide plenty of interesting information about them. Their visitor center & gift shop is also well stocked with really neat gift & souvenir items & information. We live in the local country area, & have brought several wild animals that needed a helping hand before returning to the wild. All of them would very likely have died if not for the special treatment & care this much-needed facility provides. I hope everyone who possibly can will visit Wildlife Images, & contribute generously to this important effort.

“Very impressed!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We loved Wildlife Images! The drive to get out there takes a few minutes, Its in the outer part of Grants pass but Its definitly worth it! It cost $10 to go on the tour which I thought was a great price! you get to see all kinds of animals (most live in the area) They explain everything to you about the animals and I loved hearing where they all came from and what their stories are! Some of which are pretty sad, some of these animals came from right in/around Grants Pass (like the mink that was found on the Rogue River). You only get to see the animals that have to stay there permanently which you can understand! They rehabilitate wild animals that have been hurt or are sick and if they can they release them back out into the wild so they don't want much human contact with those animals. This place is great and its doing great things for the animals. Yes it is smaller than a zoo but you still get to see lots of animals and they are taking great care of these animals!
