Stopped in with my family on our way out of town. It took almost 15 minutes to get my glass of wine. When I ordered the chicken breast with organic greens, it literally had 2 small bites if chicken on a handful of greens. When I asked my waitress where the chicken was, she just ordered a new one. It arrived with the check and the rest the family was of the family was done. Won't be back.

A delicious meal in a lovely setting. Good service, good food what more could you want? We only had one night in Grant's Pass enroute elsewhere but would have eaten at Taprock a second night if there was one.

My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary this weekend and we decided to try out Taprock as it has been a long time since we had been there. Boy have we been missing out! As we arrived, we were greeted promptly by a cute little hostess and sat almost immediately. While talking on our way to the table, she started asking questions about our day and it we explained to her it was our special day. She must have told our server because she greeted us with a huge smile and a happy anniversary. We ordered an app, dinner and dessert (which they paid for because it was our anniversary) and all was rather delicious. (Especially the Prime Rib) It was such a wonderful night, never had to ask for anything because the server was always checking in with us and knew what exactly what we wanted. During our visit, both managers came by and checked up on us and genuinely cared about our evening. What a plus! Overall, the food and the service was top notch! This time we won’t be waiting so long to come back. Thank you Taprock for making our night so memorable!

Yes, it's the location right on the Rogue River that people tend to rave about, rather than the food. But lunches and dinners are reasonable and seem to be freshly made, in the main. We like their burgers and fries, with a satisfying salad accompaniment. Though the flat iron steak we ordered one visit was rather a little too fatty and tough. This is very popular venue in summer when ravenous rafters descend in swarms, so reservations are a good idea in season.

We loved this place right after it opened. It's in a great location, the decor is awesome, and the food was quite good. However, in our opinion, the food, as well as the service, has gone downhill. One of the things we loved to do was stop in and enjoy a drink at the bar, which was quite unique, then have lunch. On our last visit (and I do mean last), we told the hostess we were going downstairs to the bar. She smiled and said OK. When we got there, no one was tending bar. We wondered why the hostess hadn't mentioned this. Anyway, we went ahead and sat down at one of the tables. And then we waited for a server. And we waited. And we waited. We finally decided to leave. When we got back upstairs, we asked why the bar wasn't open and were told the bartender is only there at certain days and hours. Then we asked why no one told us that since we explicitly said we were going downstairs to the bar. About that time, a manager showed up and gave us a song and dance reason (from the establishment's viewpoint) why they no longer had a bartender on duty during the day. So we asked, why didn't someone mention this? No reason. Just an apology. Not good enough. We don't plan on going back.
