on arival we were taken back buy the building, verry nice. But upon entering my husband and I along with our three year old duaghter we escourted downstairs to the bar area. Two problems here; a 3year old in the bar are and trying to help dauter downstairs, what to cheap to spring for an elivator? And plus the batroom was upstairs. We both had coffie and the kid choco milk. My eggs came out well when I orded them over medium. It took forever to get the waitress back to the table. Food was not good, sevice sucked and building, although very nice to look at, was poorly planed. We will NOT be returning.

We're from the SF bay area....this is a buy! Going to a restaurant like this for dinner with the fun of watching the Hellgate boats return from their dinner cruise was fun. A couple of inflatables drifted by and offered even more entertainment! The food is good....don't expect gourmet, but solid, good food. Can't get anything like it food-wise for the price in our part of CA! We'll go back for sure.

Fun atmosphere---the bar/grill downstairs is more like a sports bar and you can choose to eat outside if you prefer--it was extremely noisy--
The Dungeness Crab BLT chopped salad was not chopped--the bacon was great but the "succulent crab" tasted more like KRAB--very fishy and it was obvious that it was not fresh dungeness crab--also very little of it-maybe 1/4 cup on top of the salad. The Caesar Salad with the smoke-grilled chicken was good. Especially the chicken.

We had company from out of state, and wanted to show them the best of Oregon, which included Multnomah Falls, the Wallowa Mountians, and the John Day Fossile Beds. We started the tour with breakfast at the Taprock Northwest Grill on the deck overlooking the Rogue River. Our guests were blown away by the ambience, the view, and the food. The quality of the food was high, and the prices were more than reasonable.

The building is a beautiful log structure overlooking the Rogue River surrounded by high end landscaping and bronze wildlife structures. In a short period of time, Taprock has become Grants Pass' signature restaurant.

The food was absolutely amazing!! I had the halibut and it was probably the best I've had! My husband had salmon and it was delicious! The atmosphere was unbeatable. we sat outside on one of their many decks overlooking the river that runs through downtown Grants Pass. What a spectacular view!!!!
