Wow. The entire comlplex is wonderful. We had a view of Mt.Hood out of our Bedroom window every morning. The staff was very friendly and we were the closest luxury units to Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and Timberline Lodge (The Shining). My children did not want to leave. Make sure to stop by Huckleberry in for a hot Maple Log and The Mt. Hood Brewery next door has a family friendly menu and great pizza and beer (of course). Tim Morse-Concierge-Shingle Creek, Orlando Florida

How can a townhouse that can sleep 8 be so cramped for 2? Answer: when the rooms are tiny and filled with beds. The particular house we reserved (and I'm sure others are different) had a tiny master bedroom so crammed with furniture you couldn't get out of bed on one side. The other bedrooms had bunk beds. And although the bed was supposed to be queensize it was barely big enough for my wife and me, and we're thin.
Another glaring defect was the location, next to the highway with all the road noise of trucks and cars, and the beginning of apt/hotel construction next door (as of 9/08). That meant sitting on the balcony and enjoying the partial view of Mt Hood was impossible.
The next time I might try Timberline Lodge (the food at Timberline is excellent, BTW).

Went to Mt.Hood for a fall get away with my husband and in-laws. We stayed in until #110, which is backing the greenspace and right next to the hiking trails and lake. It was lovely. The unit was nicely decorated - comfortable and chic - with a stone fireplace, soft couch and huge TV with DVD and cable. The kitchen was well-equipt with marble counter tops and everything you'd need to cook. We drank wine in the hot tub, watched movies, went for hikes and watched the snow fall. The unit has two big bedrooms and a kids room with bunk beds and a folddown queen. Its great for adults but also is equipt for kids with a crib and toys neatly tucked into closets. (We didnt have kids with us, but noticed the kid stuff in the upstairs walkin) We also walked up to the Rats Keller to watch Saturday football and couldnt believe our luck when we stumbled in and saw huge flat screens and comfortable couches. When the Ducks won the game we knew we also found a winner in Collins Lake Resort and the fun, warm chalet - #110. One last thing, you must visit trillium lake in the summer. About 3 miles from Collins Lake and an amazingly beautiful place.
