Owner description: We invite you to join us in the historic tasting room located in the heart of Rogue Valley wine country. Once home to the Rock Point hotel, originally built in 1864, the tasting room provides for a rustic and warm atmosphere while sipping wine. The facilities include a great outdoor location for a family picnic with a wonderful view of the vineyard. Join us any day of the week from 11am to 5pm. We look forward to seeing you and sharing the story behind the wine.

We were on our way to the Oregon Vortex and had just gotten off at exit 43 when we came across the Del Rio Vineyard and decided to stop. It was a nice tasting room with a small gift shop. Gloria was very knowledgable and funny too. All the reds were very tasty and we went home with a bottle of pinot noir for $28. There was a $5 tasting charge for 6 tastes. I read on another post that the tasting charge was waived with the purchase of a bottle but I think we were still charged for the tasting but a good time was had by all so I won't swear to it that I was wrongly charged because I did buy a couple more items and that might have been the price difference. My ability to drink and do math isn't my strong suit. We would stop again and if we lived in the area it would be one of our favorites especially with a concert series in the summer.

What a nice little find. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. Wines are a bit pricey for some varietals, but overall, they have some darn fine wine. Our biggest surprise was their Pinot Gris. They charge a modest $5.00 for tasting, but waived if you purchase a bottle

heading north on i-5 out of medford, looking to the left as you past gold hill, you can see a vast expanse of orderly vines stretched out against the hills. that's del rio vineyards. not so long ago this was a pear orchard. exit 43 will deliver you to the tasting room in just a few minutes.

the tasting room is located in an old [by oregon standards] building used as a stage stop, it has been beautifully converted and restored to a tasting room, with a variety of excellent wines available for tasting and purchase, as well as some cheeses from rogue creamery which you already missed.

i have been purchasing wine from these folks since before they were making it here. the malbecs, clarets, cabs and syrah are all typically excellent. the rose jolee is a summertime favorite. try them all, you will not be disappointed.

there is an outside seating area with picnic tables. a person could stop here with a loaf of bread, purchase some cheese and wine, enjoy an few hours in the shade and breeze.

the staff is friendly and informed, and even smiles at people that scarcely deserve it. i have seen it happen. be friendly and enjoy yourself all the more.

If you like history & wine, it doesn't get any better than this old stage coach stop! They've converted the original stage coach hotel into the tasting room and it is done so tastefully (no pun intended). It's picturesque with the vineyard rows stretching up the far hills and located close to the I-5 #43 exit in Oregon . We purchased the last of the 2011 Pinot Gris - a big hit. They are talking about the upcoming release of reds which are supposed to be superb, given the ideal climate of last year's growing season. When it's released, I'll see you there! Great winery and plenty of room for picnics. Very friendly and enjoyable wine.
