A full day on the river (105-mile trip). Not sure what to expect, but delighted that it turned out to be a fun and full day.
Experienced and wise guides helped us to see lots of wildlife along the banks (bear, deer, eagles, herons). Entertaining descriptions. Breath-taking scenery.
Lunch on the way back was not very good, but no fault of Jerry's.
Kids loved getting sprayed with water. So much fun to turn full-circle in the river.
ADVICE: take layers of clothes. It gets very cold on the river in the morning, but warms up in the afternoon.

We really enjoyed the 80-mile jetboat ride we took in August which went from Gold Beach to Agness where we had lunch at Singing Springs. It is run as it a leisurely ride out to Agness so that you arrive there at lunchtime and have a faster ride back. We had an excellent guide who knew exactly where to slow down on the ride out so we could see lot of wildlife Mostly we saw birds such as ospreys (at several points along the river), blue heron, and eagle, but also a black bear and deer. The guide also gave us some interesting historic information such as flood levels.

We were lucky to have a beautiful day for our trip. Aside from the wildlife, the ride is pleasant with interesting, but not outstanding, scenery and a small amount of rapids. The ride was part of a Road Scholar program which booked the 80-mile trip but if I were taking it on my own I would have booked the 104-mile version to experience more rapids.

I am so glad we made this part of our itinerary. The trip went well above and beyond any thing we had expected. Our guide used his entertaining humor along with his knowledge which made this an adventure neither myself or my husband will ever forget. My husband has used some of the (pastor's)tour guide's one liners as he showed our friends and family the pictures of our visit to Gold Breach, OR. You have to experience it for yourself to really appreciate the scenery, and wildlife. We stopped at a sweet restaurant for lunch which added to the awesome day.

Boat ride was so fun, fast and doing spins! Our guide was very funny and knowledgable and he brought his black lab, Rue with us. River is beautiful and loved the spot we stopped for lunch. Worth the $. Wish we would have taken the longest trip.

This was a highlight of our trip; our guide Jeff and his gorgeous Labrador Sadie were the best. They provide you with lots of layers and blankets as the temperatures can vary on the river but be sure to take scarves/hats with you depending on the time of year! The trip in the boat and the scenery itself were awesome, around every bend there was a beautiful view. The wildlife we encountered was a huge bonus. There were lots of bald eagles, some otters, deer, seals and our guides eye for spotting them was incredible. We were also extremely lucky as we saw a Mummy and baby bear right at the end of the tour. Fabulous, would love to go again!
