We took the 64-mile round trip to Agness with lunch at Lucas Lodge. Our Pilot, Darin, a 24-year veteran was superb. He provided historical, factual and humorous commentary, though not continuous so we could enjoy the scenery. Lunch was family style chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, desert.
The return trip featured sixteen 360 degree Jet Boat twists expertly executed by Darin.
Hint: If you sit at the outside edge of the first two rows of seats, YOU WILL GET WET.

“What fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

The river was too low to take the longer trips but the 64 mile round trip to Agness was will worth it. They picked us up at the Tu Tu Tun Lodge dock and made the run up to Agness in about two hours. We stopped there for lunch at the Cougar Lane (which ain't much to brag about but expectations were low) and returned to the Lodge. Darrin, the boat captain and resident stand-up comic, was filled with dry, and mostly dumb, stories that conspired to make the trip a real pleasure. Good wet fun on a beautiful river.

“Fun ride, knowledgable staff - go the extra miles”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

The very efficient operation at Jerry's Rogue Jets gives you the opportunity to get into the interior of the coastal hills (and see otters, herons etc) in relative comfort, free from flies, blisters etc.

We took the 80 mils trip instead of the basic 64 and well worth the few extra dollars - rapids not huge in August so little extra bumping and still suitable for all ages.

“You won't be disappointed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

The jetboat ride was the reason we made a special trip to Gold Beach and added a day onto our vacation. It was so worth it! The day started with us being entertained by Rogue, the rock pushing dog, in the parking lot as we arrived. Once on board, we headed up the river to view some incredible scenery. We saw fisherman pulling out salmon, eagles, herons, deer and a bear. Our pilot, Darrin, was wonderful(as was co-pilot Agness). His bad jokes and eye-rolling tales kept us thoroughly entertained. He displayed a real camaraderie with the other outfitters on the river and their hijinx of soaking each other was fun to watch. Lunch wasn't fabulous but it was hot and there aren't too many options on the river. My suggestion--spend the day. Take the 104 mile trip. You won't be disappointed!

“Fantastic fun. Thanks Tim!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

This was the most fun we've had during our month on the coast. If there had been another trip after this one we'd have gone again. Took the short trip. This would be suitable for any age even ancients like me with a bad back & heart problems. Lunch stops are all hill climbs. Transportation is provided for people with health problems. Dress in layers and if you hate getting wet, take a rain jacket. If you are lucky Tim will be your pilot and provide a laugh a minute. He has to be from Lake Woebegone. Tells great funny stories. Ride was exhilarating. We are coming back in May to do the longest trip. We saw deer, seals, and river otters, pelicans , eagles, too many birds to list. Only disappointment was Singing Springs resort. The people were great. Food not so great and slightly over priced. Will take our own lunch next time around. Recommend buying the photo at the end of the trip. It's a nice souvenir for only $7.50
