I stayed at Gold Beach for one night. The views off the balcony were beautiful. Watched birds flying and whales spouting while savoring the sunset. Enjoyed the short walk past berry bushes and wildflowers on the way to the beach. The room itself was very nice, the bed was comfortable and most important everything was exceptionally clean! Front desk staff was very welcoming and I would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone visiting the Gold Beach area.

We stayed at Gold Beach Inn for five nights. The rooms are very nice and clean. We stayed on second floor because we have old dog and there is no stairs. The view was beautiful and saw deer every morning. We beachcombed every day and my wife found a very large agate. It made her vacation. The grounds are very nice and walked all four trails to the beach. We had a great time at Gold Beach Inn.

The Gold Beach Inn has a nice path to a scenic beach. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. Overall, our experience at this Inn deserves an average rating. There are some issues with the Inn... The outside light makes the night looks daylight through the curtains, which caused difficulty to sleep. When we first came to the door of the room, the deadbolt to the room was hanging off the door. The shower head was low, the water temperature very sensitive, and bath tub appeared dirty. The breakfast did not appear open at 7am as listed on the sign. We arrived around 5pm and our room was not ready. And last, the town has a siren system (read the binder)... 1 siren for city council meeting, 3 sirens for volunteer fire department, and continuing sirens for tsunami. We read the binder beforehand, but we woke up early in the night putting our clothes just in case it was a tsunami siren when we heard the siren. It was only 3 sirens.

Our handyman checked every room on the level you were on. None of the door handles or deadbolts were hanging off or loose. We readjusted some of the lighting to make it darker. Our bathtubs are always very clean, and we have a specialized employee as a final inspector to check all rooms independently after our housekeepers are finished. If you could call us and tell us what room you stayed in, we would love to fix any complaint. No complaint about handles to the front desk or maintenance were reported.

We had a very good stay at Gold Beach Inn. We enjoyed our room with an ocean view and loved the hot tubs right in the beach. We kept the window open a little to hear the ocean roar and seagulls, very relaxing stay.

Room Tip: Request an ocean view

We stayed on the top level in #305. You get a modest balcony, the widows and doors open to let in the sounds and smells of the ocean. The ocean view is unobstructed and expansive. A path goes past the hot tubs and leads to the long sand beach full of driftwood. The hotel keeps 3 hot tubs very clean and bubbling away on a deck near the beach. Towels are offered at the hot tubs but they are pretty small. Bring your own or a wrap of some sort.

The decor is dated but we didn't mind a bit. The rates seem very affordable. The wifi is free. Our room had a flat screen TV which we didn't use so can't comment on that. There is a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave in the room. Breakfast is included but nothing to write home about.

The sister hotel - Ireland's Rustic Lodges - is next door and has been around for years. Many guests have been returning there for 20, 30 and 40 years.

If you want current decor and high end amenities, pay double and go somewhere else. This hotel is for beach goers who want to pay less.

Room Tip: Top level has best views.

Awesome sunset and hot tub views! Great pit stop amidst a 3K adventure. Room was dated but the service and cleanliness was comforting. Dated, as in the 60s, the 1800 variety :o) Lewis & Clark would have dug the Gold Beach Inn!

PS - The toaster rocked out on my bagel! Thanks GBI

We spent two nights at the hotel because of our plans. The outdoor area behind the rooms was the best thing about the property - money better spent elsewhere. Why 3 hot tubs on a deck was necessary, I'll never understand. The quality of the rooms was a $75 room at best, but the price was almost twice that. The rooms were borderline clean. The decor reminded me of my grandmother's place. Nothing really matched, and things "made do". The good was the view, the rooms were fairly quiet and well, that's about it. The bad, other than the decor . . . the pillows were dead, the towels threadbare, the wifi didn't work worth a darn, and the room smelled like antiseptic. Though compared to the rest of Gold Beach, it's probably par for the course. The most interesting thing about the room was the framed letter hanging on the wall begging guests to post good reviews on TripAdvisor to counteract the bad reviews their local competitors were posting. A better suggestion would be to invite the owners to stay at a Best Western or Holiday Inn Express to see what a nice hotel room in their price group was like. In the meantime, if you need to stay in Gold Beach, be aware there doesn't seem to be anything as nice as a Best Western or Holiday Inn Express.

Our rooms are beautiful, clean, and have a fantastic view. If you know of a Best Western that is 19 acres oceanfront and charges less than we do, please give us a call. We could add movies on demand and charge another $125 a night.
