Chef Kevin was a wonderful host and eating at this family affair was such a delight from the minute my wife and I walked in that we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys quality at a very reasonable price.. The setting and decor is intimate and friendly and contrary to one of the naysayers the building is very quaint, with local artists and Gold beach history presented in a non pushy way. Mangia was just the perfect way to end a return trip to California.

This is authentic Italian food by the chef/owner Kevin Buffinton, who is hospitable and proud of his restaurant. Great service, perfect pasta, and meatballs that are as big as baseballs with bursts of seasoning and flavor! Italian sausages are the chef's own recipe. Be sure to stop in and enjoy this delightful spot on the southern Oregon coast!!

Great Service. Good Food. The dining area was a little too dark, but all and all a pleasant experience.

We were in the mood for italian and got this place from the check-in person at the motel. We knew where it was and even tho looking for it still missed and went past. After figuring out which parking lot it was supposed to be we parked and still weren't quite sure if we were in the right place, no signage telling which door to use in what looks like the back entry to a building full of offices. Almost drove off but decided to go in and there was a sign sitting on the floor sending you the right direction.
We met the owner who is obviously very enthused about what he does, sounds like it a family operation as I believe it was a couple of his sons helping w/ preparation and serving. I enjoyed my grilled prawns in marinara and her spaghetti was good although neither of us liked the meatballs very much. That was the only negative, the ceasar was good, wine prices as well as the menu were reasonably priced. The dining room was very nice, although my only thought was I hope he makes it and maybe some day can have a spot with a nice outdoor view in this beautiful little town. Well worth the effort, we mentioned our experience finding and he said was working on better parking/entry directions so make sure you search this one out; pretty sure you'll be glad you did.

This as I suspect most of the businesses in Gold Beach is a family affair. Every business we had the pleasure to deal with in this small coastal town had this in common,
Dad, Mom, and Kids all work together to do their best to make our experience in their town a good one.
I love the fact that Chef Kevin does his best to make the most of what he has to work with, who would have thought that you could have a very classy Italian eatery in an old school room.
I was very impressed that he is not only involved with his own kids and business but was leaving during a Wednesday evening dinner rush to help with the youth group at his Church and a volleyball game.
Way to be an example of a balanced life, this country needs more with priorities like yours.
