Recent weekend stay in a Queen guest room.
There were several issues with out stay:
- the room was very warm (~90 degrees) and had no way to cool it down. Seemed to be the result from the room being located directly above the kitchen cooking area. The staff offered us a fan to put in the window but the kitchen vents were right outside our window. This resulted in smoke and gases from the deep fat fryer venting into our room - very smelly. The hotel smoking area was also right outside our window. Yuck.
- there was a pipe with a water hammer right under the room which consistently banged and rattled all night long.
- Room was advertized with 'complimentary coffee'. Unfortunately it was alway empty. Only one small carafe to supply the entire hotel and it was usually empty.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly. That said they could not do anything to remedy the issues. They did suggest that we could leave and stay somewhere else (although they did not offer to arrange it). Wasnt really an option on a spring break weekend with a pet in the room.
We will not be returning.More
