We had pre-purchased a 2 night package through Living Social. Everything advertised was provided, including chocolates, restaurant discounts, wine tasting, and a lovely rose. Room was clean and well appointed. Good hot breakfast buffet on a par with Hampton Inn. Minor problems were:
1) After the first night, couldn't get to email through their wi-fi routers to the internet. Problem was that we were trying to access email directly with both iphone and a tablet that go directly to the email server without bringing up a browser. You have to go through their internet vendor's sign-on page before you do anything else. Took a couple of complaints at the desk to get someone to help get us through their procedure.
2) In-room coffee was not resupplied after the first night.
3) Full pre-paid room charge was billed again to our credit card rather than Living Social, which we discovered when we got the credit card statement. A phone call got this corrected.

Overall, we enjoyed the Garibaldi House, and would definitely stay again if the occasion arises.

We were greeted with a very welcoming smile and greeting. There were snacks in the lobby, and fresh popped corn (my personal favorite snack). The room was spacious and clean and included a microwave and refrigerator. They gave us recommendations for sight seeing and eating, but best of all, the breakfast that was included was DELICIOUS!

A friendly, well kept and comfortable place to stay. Appetizers in the evening and a nice selection at their buffet for breakfast. Room was clean and very comfortable. If you can't be happy here, you just can't be happy.

My disabled roommate and I were caught in the snow/ice storm on our way back home from a trip to Washington and could not travel any further. After vowing to stop at the first place I could find, we were fortunate enough to get a lovely room at the Garibaldi House. We stayed for two nights while we waited for the roads to clear. The people there could not have been more welcoming -- it really felt as though we'd had plans to visit with our best friends for a few days. The full hot breakfast each day was abundant and delicious and the 5 PM hot appetizers were fantastic -- and served as our dinners, which was extra fortuitous since we couldn't go out anywhere else. I am still thinking about how wonderful the cioppino was. I'll definitely go back there in better weather for a planned stay -- and will be calling ahead to make sure I'm there on a cioppino day!

A Christmas gift from our son and soon to be daughter-in-law......From the moment we arrived my husband and I were impressed by the warmth and the hospitality of this very fine establishment. We were greeted by friendly staff; cheese, crackers and meats were waiting and readily available. A rose and chocolates in our room. The 5-9pm appetizer was delicious and we did not feel like we had to go out to eat. The room was quiet, breakfast assortments was numerous and outstanding! Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side are quieter

We were greeted with a smile that lasted the entire stay. We had our grandson with us and they were so accommodating. He loved the elevator ! almost as much as the pool, which could of been a bit warmer for him. All in all we will be back, the breakfast and evening snacks were unbelievable!

Room Tip: The family suite was the best lots of room

We had a relaxing retreat in Garibaldi at the Garibaldi House. We first went on a Living Social coupon and were pleased to be offered a deep discount as a returning guest. We spent 3 nights over New Years to enjoy this peaceful fishing village. Each afternoon, we tasted the cheese, salami and crackers. New Years we were treated to fish cioppino. Each morning we enjoyed fresh fruit, frittatas, eggs, waffles and a variety of other offerings. The staff creates the atmosphere of a B&B with attentive service. We loved the bedding, and the sauna, hot tub and pool. We discovered great seafood at nearby Pacific Seafood, and bought canned tuna to take home at Spot-On. There is nothing like local tuna--we like to blend a can of regular albacore and a can of smoked tuna for tuna salad. There is no local beach, but Rockaway is near by. We love the expansive beaches at Manzanita and Oceanside.
