The Crater Lake Resort is a very nice place to stay if you are in the Klamath area. There are other accommodations north of Klamath Lake and south of Crater Lake, but this is the nicest, IMHO. I especially like the grounds which are family friendly and sit on a nice little creek. Walk to the back of the resort and there are horseshoe pits, swings for the kids, and a bridge across the water. My cabin was cozy and pretty basic, but overall it was nice. There was no cable TV or phone in the room however (you can still rent and watch movies). The kitchen and bath were adequate. This was a studio, and everything - bed, kitchen etc were all together in one room. That was my only complaint - not having a separate living area. But overall, I give the resort high marks. The area is kind of remote and so it was nice to have groceries on the premises. Locating groceries otherwise was problematic - Fort Klamath, the nearest town (if you could call it that) has no stores other than another "grocery-in-a-motel" type thing. But the remoteness was not a problem for me - the area is a great place to get away - hike, camp, birdwatch, take photos, etc. I hope to be back and when I do, I will stay in the same resort. But I will close with one small request for the owner - OK, here it is: can you maybe rehang that map of Coos Bay in the kitchen so that it is not on an angle!!?? :) (cabin 3)....

Stayed here for 3 nights. It was totally awesome. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, recently remodeled cabin, overlooking the creek. It was a great setting. So peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was perfect, the beds pretty good, the towels and showers were nice. The bathroom shelves were great for keeping organized. Very comfortable to stay here. Would stay here again, and it was perfect for getting to the National Park each day. Would definitely recommend see Crater Lake NP. What a beautiful area.

The only thing I didn't like was the last night we had a camper using a camp spot really close to our cabin. That was a bit too close, but they were quiet and I still slept great.

Stayed two nights in a cabin- furnished with two queen beds- an outside gas grill, inside gas stove, equipped kitchen. Front room looked out onto the creek that you could take a canoe on if you wanted to. Small tv for FREE dvds. No television channels, internet connection not great but bearable. Nice deck on cabin. Very clean inside, nice bathroom. They came in on day #2 when we were at Crater Lake and gave us new clean towels which we did not expect! Well water smells like sulfur but cleans fine, hot water seems limitless. Nice people, nice store there. Really relaxing and comfortable. Left windows open (screens were there) all night. Woke up in the morning cold. Turned on the heater and was toasty in no time. Would definitely stay there again. We saw many similar places in the area and felt that this was one of the nicest around.

Room Tip: They have cabins that are not on the creek that seem very nice and they have another cabin that is e...

A great place to stay! Just returned from a 4 day stay for a family reunion. My cabin was perfect for the camping experience with hot running water and a comfortable bed. It was immaculate and the staff was helpful and fun! The grounds are beautiful with a walking path, free canoes, bicycles and free movies for evening time. We have been enjoyed staying there over the past 14 years and it is always the same...just perfect!

The owner obviously thinks about what would want in a place to stay and strives to provide it. We stayed in one of the larger cabins. It was quite spacious, with room to move around in, two comfortable Queen beds, and a kitchenette, The hot water never ran out, even after four back-to-back showers. Quiet.

The cabins are set in a park-like glade, with a playground and swings for the kids, and a game room for everyone. Along one side runs a pretty creek, and the owner has thoughtfully provided canoes free for guests' use. No treehouse, though.

The store has the essentials and a DVD lending library (no TV reception). The internet seemed to be a tad slow from the cabin, but nothing terrible. The ISP does limit use, so guests are asked not to download movies or too much music. So go take a walk instead.

Looking for a great place to stay? Look no further! This place is perfect for those wanting a nice ‘camping’ experience without all the hassle of tent camping! All you need to bring is food and clothes!!! The cabins were just as described on their website and provided dishes, utensils, pots, and pans! We stayed in an older cabin not on the creek and my parents stayed in a creek side cabin… So, having spent time in both, my recommendation would be to stay in the cabins on the creek… They have private decks, gas grills, and newer amenities inside. Both cabins were clean, furniture was fitting, and had TVs with DVD players. If you are looking for wifi that is suitable to work or download documents, this is not the place for you. The grounds were impeccable and the owners/staff were great! We will be coming back.

Room Tip: Cabin 2 was where we actually stayed. It was cute, rustic, and comfortable. Cabin 10 was where my...

Nice little cabins that are reasonably priced! Has a nice walking path on the stream that runs right through the property! Good for those who like a little amateur birding. WiFi available, but was a little slow.
