We stayed in one of the A frame cabins. It was nice. The TV barely gets any stations (usually only one) and our cell phones did not work here. The owners were so nice and allowed us the use of their phone to call home. You really are in the middle of nowhere. Very limited food in the area. It took a little longer to get to the lake than we expected but the accommodations and the hosts made up for it.

What a cute place! We had a little A-frame cabin with a queen size bed. The bathroom was small but functional and we had a fridge and microwave. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was unseasonably cold when we were there, but they had a heater in the cabin that kept it warm. Heidi was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The TV gets only two or three stations and only one well, and there is no internet service there but our cell phones worked. The Aspen Inn is convenient to Crater Lake.

We stayed 3 nights while visitting Crater Lake. Our black lab Lulabelle was travelling with us. Not only are they a (rare) dog-friendly property, but when I say friendly, I mean they really like dogs. They checked in on Lula while we were at the park, & allowed her to play in the yard with their yellow lab. The owners are super-nice. I didn't have to worry about Lula at all while we were out. It's in a beautiful setting & so peaceful, in a colorful small community. We stayed in the cute A-frame cabin. While not high-end, this is perfect for the tourist who appreciates a comfortable, friendly, one-of-a-kind place in a spectacular natural setting. Can't beat it if you have a dog. I'd love to stay there again.

Among the very few places to stay near Crater Lake. Sue and Heidi were superb hosts with an extensive knowledge base of the area. The room was clean, functional but sparse (no remote for the TV, three TV stations, and no phone in room). Dining choices in the area are few and far between. Great for a one night stay close to Crater Lake but not much more.

Our room had a brand new bathroom - sparkling. Other than carpet, which needs replacement, the room was really clean, we did not mind at all the fact that the chairs and table were a bit older. There was a microwave in the room and extra paper towels - very helpful and gril for quests to use. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

We only stayed here one night before camping at Crater Lake, but really enjoyed our stay, it would have been better without the mosquitoes, but you can't blame that on the hotel itself. The rooms have an old-style appearance to them, but were quite comfortable and the owners were a treat. They were eager to help with anything we had questions with and made the trip extra special. They went the extra mile for us even though the place looked as though it was booked up. If you're looking for a small place to stay and visit Crater Lake, Fort Klamath and the Aspen Inn are great choices.

We stayed at the "Wagon House" at the Aspen Inn, a very nicely renovated 130 year old small house. The decor, while slightly odd (including two stuffed owls) is pleasant and certainly unique. The house is quiet, very clean, and comfortable, and sitting on the front porch swing on a summer evening was remarkably relaxing. The proprietors are very friendly. The location is conveniently close to Crater Lake.
