We have been going to the Waterfront Depot for the last 12 years. We still love it, after all these years. Excellent steaks and seafood. Not your usual fried seafood (although they have some of that too). Good value for money, great atmosphere, wonderful view of the bay and the bridge. During the summer I recommend making a reservation.

We arrived on Tuesday evening without reservations, a no no we later learned. Book several days ahead. The hostess was turning parties away. What saved is we said we would be happy to wait and eat at the bar. What happened is a reservation did not show up and we got the table, one of three with a window overlooking the harbor. Just proves if you're not smart it pays to be lucky.

Menu not extensive but all looked delicious and as we scanned the tables around being served. All fresh seafood well presented and Italian dishes, salads and loads of appetizers, good wine, beer and drink selections. Scan the menu on their site for a representative idea of the choices. If ever in Florence again, highly unlikely, I would certainly make it a point to eat there.

This restaurant was highly recommended to us, but we were warned that there is usually a wait. There was a reservation cancellation and so it was our luck. Small restaurant, with a view of an inlet bay, great food, great waiter and lots of ambience. Took a while to get our food, because they were so busy, but it was well worth the wait. Took a 2 week trip and this was one of our best meals.

I have reviewed this restaurant in the past and we try to visit every year when we are on the coast. And again this year it is still our favorite place to eat. The crab crusted halibut is divine and the service is superb. Make reservations before you go and ask for a window.

I'm not exactly how to rate this place because the food was all over the map.
-The smoked salmon and trout appetizer was really good
-I had a caesar salad (ok) and lamb riblets (very good) for dinner. Both are normally appetizers. The riblets were cooked to just the right amount, and its sauce was very good.
-The odd part was, my husband had the Arroz Com Marisco Portuguese, and it tasted nothing like the description. It looked and tasted more like a Thai chili sauce. It was NOT tomato broth, and there was no dill to be seen or tasted. It was actually good, but not even close to the expected flavors.
