We can't fault our meals there, certainly vying for the best of Florence. But in the contest for best place to eat in Florence the Restobar falls behind because the operation is so hectic that service falls behind. Also the place is noisy and very crowded (and we were there midweek).
They had a $12 prime rib special, with a glass of wine, no less, on the night we were there. It looked good but we went for a couple of excellent seafood dishes. Where we were seated we could see the kitchen crew work. The fellow making the pizzas put more effort into having them be works of art than any place I've seen before. We didn't order a pizza, but from what I saw they do look like they would be good.
The Restobar looks like a good alternative if you can't get into the Depot across the street! But don't feel so bad as it's a close second place in the same price class.
