“Nice place to stay”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

Driving into Florence, OR we no hotel reservations, we stopped at the first familiar hotel we saw.
It was an o.k. hotel, nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were clean, however could use some up dating. There was not much space on the tiny table to work. However, it was a very quiet sleeping place. The continental breakfast was fine, nothing to write home again, but had all the necessary items to get one going in the morning, like fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and cereals, breads, rolls etc.
Not a bad place to stay without any reservations.
What a did not like, that by the entry doors were some chairs and old coffee cans and all the smokers stank up your entry into the hotel. That area was also quite dirty. Not good for a first impression.

Room Tip: If you are a non smoker, stay at a place with an absolutely no smoking policy in the building and on...

I guess Florence, OR is considered a resort town because the hotels here were expensive. This one was $150/night for a standard room. The whole property was very clean. Our walls in the room must have been paper thin as we heard everyone doing everything. I normally stay at higher end hotels for business so I'm used to having a 24/7 fitness center. We wanted to go work out at 5am but they won't unlock it until 5:30am. We sat in the lobby for 30 minutes. sigh. There is a casino near by (Three Rivers Casino) I checked their room rates and found that they were less expensive and probably nicer (newer). This was not an option via travel site as it was not listed.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel and but a look to see the offering. This was a typical free breakfast with ok choices.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Comfort Inn in Florence. As I’m sure you discovered, your visit to the Oregon Coast coincided with the busiest time of the year and during this season our rates do reflect this, but we do keep our rates competitive with other franchise hotels on the coast. We hope the rest of your visit was enjoyable and that you will return again soon.

We were travelling down the 101 so just wanted somewhere to spend the night just off the highway. We had asked for a quiet room and were given a refurbished room at the back of the building overlooking trees. There is no lift so ask for a ground floor room if this is a problem for you. We were very pleased with the room and particularly with TWO comfortable chairs! The room had everything we could possibly have needed and was modern and clean with a very comfortable king bed. There is a laundry too. This inn is set back from the road so the rooms shouldn't be noisy but ours certainly was quiet. The breakfast included in the room rate was fine too. We were very pleased with this place and think others will be too when, hopefully, the refurbishment programme is complete.

Stayed here one night in September 2013 when we made an afternoon decision to make a Friday night trip to an Oregon casino. Unfortunately, all of the casino hotels we were interested in visiting were booked up, so made the decision to go to Florence since there are ample hotels and motels in the area. Made reservations on-line and, when checking in, the other people were paying about $45 less per night than we were (we just had a standard room), which would be more reasonable given the quality of the accommodations (perhaps we should have complained at that point). Everything about the room was run down. The towels were thin and dingy. Carpet stained. There were a couple of positives: The room was quiet and the beds comfortable.

Room Tip: This is a two story facility with no elevator access, so if mobility is an issue, be sure to request...

Thank you for your recent comments about our Comfort Inn in Florence. As you noticed in your review, the hotels on the Oregon Coast fill up quickly in the short season, especially on the weekends and we try to maintain our rates to be competitive with other franchise hotels in the area. We’re glad that you found our rooms quiet and comfortable and we hope that you will come back and see us on your next visit to the coast.

Stayed here one night in August, 2013 during a long road trip vacation. We had stayed in a B&B in Florence the night before, and were really disappointed with it. it was right on the main road between Florence and Eugene (Rt. 126), which we didn't know when we booked that room. We wanted to stay another night in Florence, but did not want to stay another night in that noisy B&B. We checked out several other lodging choices in Florence but selected this Comfort Inn as it seemed like it would provide the best overall accommodation for us. It definitely met our expectations. Our room was nice, very clean and quiet! We were on the back of the building, facing towards a small residential area that was quiet (no barking dogs or screaming kids!). Plus, our room had air conditioning, which we needed as it was a bit warm while we were in Florence. Note: Not all hotels and B&B's in that area have A/C. The breakfast service was the typical hotel self serve thing - lots of choices, but nothing that set it apart from the other chain-hotel breakfast buffets.

They recently remodeled the lobby area (which is in a separate building in front of the building where the rooms are). It is a really nice lobby and lounge area. Much nicer than you would expect to see in a Comfort Inn hotel.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay there. We'd definitely stay there again and would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, nice hotel room in Florence.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room on the 2nd floor in the back of the building. It was very quiet. But, I think al...

I want to commend David for his excellent customer service. We had problems with our Choice Hotel points not being posted to our account. He was very helpful to us in getting our problem solved. The rooms were nice and bed clean and comfortable. The only negative about the hotel is that the rooms are not in the same building as check in or breakfast. Since it was rainy when we were there, it was a little unhandy to go outside to breakfast.

my sister and I stayed here for one night (Aug.4) on a road trip driving back from Reno, Nevada.
-prior to our arrival at about 8 PM we had tried several hotels in the Florence area and these were either booked for the night or were way too expensive for what the hotels offered. The guy at Comfort Inn could not have been nicer (Steve or Jim I think - you know who you are)- it was a little more than we wanted to pay but the CAA discount helped and we were able to enjoy a really nice breakfast before hitting the road in the morning.
- we liked our room a lot- it was clean and the beds were comfortable. wifi worked great
we enjoyed talking to Debbie the morning receptionist - she allowed me to make a ld call to our next hotel at Tillamook for free - we told her about the back parking lot lights or lack of and she said she would have that looked after.
the gal that hosted the breakfast room was cheerful and did a great job.
we were satisfied with our stay here.
Best wishes to one and all.

Room Tip: book ahead if possible during busy season
