This is a local favorite. It is a great place to see some of our local birds and also help out a center who is so proactive at helping wildlife that has been harmed. You will be awed by the variety of impressive raptors you will see tucked away in this little known haven! Plus, it is located at the starting point for a lot of great local hikes.

The Raptor Center is in a beautiful setting and offers interest for adults and kids alike. We go at least twice a year and it's a MUST for out-of-town guests.

While upon first inspection this place looks like a quick trip, but once you are there you realize this place is special and the owner's dream come true and a true labor of love. Our family spent a couple hours here. Be sure to inquire as to when and where they will be taking out the birds. The volunteers at the center are very knowledgable and happy to answer questions. Looking forward to returning soon.

This is a great place to view and learn about raptors. They have a wonderful group of birds in spacious habitats and a hospital for the medical needs and rehab for those who can be released back into the wild. They have several birds who have been injured (blinded, broken wings, etc) who cannot be released and they are well taken care of the staff and volunteers. Very friendly group of folks on duty. Fascinating to see so birds up close and personal.

We can't wait to visit the Raptor Center again in the future. What a wonderful, interesting, educational stop during our vacation! There were 6 Bald Eagles and 2 Golden Eagles on display, as well as dozens of other birds of prey.. owls, eagles, etc. It was interesting to learn how common eye diseases/eye loss and human imprinting are; as well as how deadly both of those can be.
