“Classy Winery”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

We enjoy King Estate wine and wanted to visit the winery while in Oregon. It did not disappoint. We engaged in the wine tasting, and decided to stay for dinner. It was an upscale dining room, but it was fine to be casual. My friend and I had the filet, and our husbands had the fish dish. The service was impeccable and the food was very good. We would definitely return.

“A long awaited visit”
Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

The wines form this estate have been a firm favourite since our first visit from the UK to Montana in 2002. On this years vacation to Oregon we were able to visit the estate and take a light lunch with wine on the patio in the lovely hot Oregon sunshine. Our meals were exquisite accompanied by glasses of their wonderful Rose. Great food, great wine, great service in a great setting. Relax and enjoy the summer sun with a patio lunch at King Estate.

“Did I expect too much? perhaps, but felt let down.”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

For my sister's big decade birthday she booked a table for 7 of us, months ago. Our table location felt like it was in a passage way, between dining room areas. (We were disappointed not to be able to eat outside but those tables can't be reserved we learned when we showed up). 2 of our group are vegetarians and one is vegan- not too odd in the Eugene area and we'd been assured via phone this would be easily accomodated. Our wait person seemed to not know how to help us at first, but returned with a few ideas. My salad (beet and strawberry on arugula with the smallest amount of cheese) was OK- nothing spectacular for 10$. The Crab Beignets were a huge disappointment: two of us ordered them as an app. & crab was truly imperceptable by any of us (we shared)-13$! My main dish, salmon on lentils with crisp artichokes was good flavors but dry, as if it had sat under heat lamps a little too long. Husband ordered the big deal beef-40$ and loved every bite, commenting on rich sauce. He's an expensive date. Bread was extra, $1 a roll, & very good Our wine was wonderful, no surprise. The wait for our entrees was L-O-N-G. Otherwise service was very good. Since these were pricey meals, I expected more. I wouldn't sit inside next time, no matter how long I waited. Maybe I'm too picky. Just not the value, alas.

“Excellent view, wine & food...”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

We stopped in over Memorial Weekend - the winery is absolutely beautiful!

When we first arrived there was a 30 minute wait for lunch on their gorgeous patio so we put our name on the list and headed inside to their tasting room for sampling of wines - all of which were outstanding.

About halfway through our tasting, our name was called for lunch so the gentleman in the tasting room said they don't typically allow the tasting wines brought to the restaurant but he would make an exception this time and bring them over.

Once seated we order an cheese platter & bread basket to share then the 5 of us ordered entrees to enjoy while sitting back on their breathtaking patio.

We hadn't received the remaining 2 tasting wines yet so I asked our waitress about them - with a look of disgust on her face she responded that they don't allow the tasting wines to be brought to the patio. Obviously she thought that allowing the tasting wines on the patio would decrease her sales & decrease her tip. Greedy is all I have to say. When I told her the gentleman inside said he would make an exception, she said she would be right back. A few minutes later this gentleman from inside stopped by with our wines.

Overall, the view was exceptional, the wines outstanding & the food spectacular. We will certainly return to the winery while in Oregon next; however, will certainly skip dining.

“Excellent Lunch”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

Our luncheon experience was wonderful. Crispy cauliflower, cheese plate and the lamb burger were delicious. Very fresh. King estate Pinot noir was delightful. Service staff was excellent.
Don't miss this experience if you are in Eugene.
