We took some out of town friends for dinner at Beppe and Gianni's and it was very disappointing. The pasta was way overcooked, and we didn't even get any food until an hour after we were seated, even though they were not at all crowded. I can only assume that, because the owner wasn't there, the staff must have been "taking it easy." They do make a good salmon, but I'd leave the pasta alone.

Went with 6 girlfriends the other night and had a great time. We were able to make reservations, maybe because we went on a Tuesday night, and although not everyone arrived on time, we were able to be seated immediately when we first arrived. The waitress was fabulous! She was accommodating to our various orders, drinks being ordered at different times, appetizers being ordered before everyone arrived, and then helping to split the bill at the end. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, including the soups & salads. Their special of the night, lobster ravioli topped with dungeness crab, was outstanding! Of course everyone loves the cambozola cheese appetizer! And the desserts were great!
This restaurant is popular, so if you don't want a long wait on a weekend night, then try during the week when there seems to be little or no wait at all.

This is a small restaurant not far from the university campus. It's a cute little Italian place. They have a pretty broad menu. Some items are only offered at certain times of the year...like the lobster ravioli. It has a small bar, by the front door. It's a nice place for couples, but probably not appropriate for families or large groups.

I've been here many times. However, an hour to wait for a table, then 30 minutes for our order to be taken. Then the food was just marginal. Top it off with shells in the seafood ravioli and the owner says its not his fault . Save your money and cool at home!!

Doesn’t take reservations for less than 8 persons
Really cool, refurbished old house
Nice salads; the small salads are big!
Delicious house bread
Nice wine list & wines by the glass
Recommend: checking out the wine room in the back
Nice specialties: risotto nightly (good for people w/celiac condition)
Loved the pasta e.g., rigatoni w/sausage & pesto
Fantastic desserts (displayed in a case)
Great food service by Mia
Minus: macchiato was super bitter; & no raw sugar (this is a sin in Eugene)
