“Really good Texas style Q”

We tried it for the 1st time this weekend. I really liked it, and I’m picky about BBQ. We had pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, BBQ beans and onion tanglers. The ribs are St. Louis cut spares. They don’t have baby backs or beef ribs. They were fall off the bone tender and delicious. They were well trimmed and lean for spare ribs. Sauces are served on the side. The brisket was a little dry, probably cause I asked for it extra lean, but had an excellent flavor. It had been sliced in about ½” slices, most of which had fallen apart. Pulled pork was good. I liked their regular original sauce the best, but the sweet and the spicy sauces were great too. The BBQ beans were excellent. They have a little kick to them that you don’t get until you’re about 3 bites in. Also really good were the onion tanglers. They are like a cross between very thin onion rings and the French fried onions that come from a can. Delicious. Mac and cheese was good, not great, but good enough to order again. It’s $23.50 for a full rack of ribs, $9/lb.for Brisket.

The only thing is that the front counter guy didn’t know the answer to the question, “What kind of pork ribs are they, are they baby backs or spares?” He had to ask the cook.

We’ll be back to try some of the other sides and the sausage. Best BBQ in Eugene? I don’t know, but it’s definitely in the running.

“Best BBQ in Eugene”

I ordered the two meat plate with a side of jalapeño beans. It was amazing. Relaxing atmosphere and great food. Highly recommended. The staff was excellent, especially Joy! Try it out.
