“A Taste of Tuscany”

We love to sit out on the terrace at King Estate, drinking their excellent wines, eating the always tasty cuisine served by their chef. The winery/restaurant is situated on top of a grapevine and lavender covered hill with a view that is tres-magnifique, It's our special place to take out of town visitors to for a special Oregon experience. The food is a little spendy, yet always fresh and local. We have never been disappointed. You can check out their menu online at https://www.kingestate.com/visit/restaurant.

“King Estate Winery - plus. It's special”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

If you are in the Eugene, Cottage Grove, and Springfield area and need a delicious meal accompanied by superb wines and an outstanding pastoral landscape, the King Estate Winery south of Eugene is perfect. Not only is it the site of some of Oregon's best wines but the location and products from the kitchen are excellent. We have been there for lunch, dinner, large corporate affairs, and medium-sized family celebrations and each time it has exceeded our expectations. Indulging in a friendly wine tasting before brunch, lunch, or dinner is recommended and from there it's just a matter of following your interests and appetites. You could even go for the winery tour. It's one of the better tours in the area.

My favorite recollection is sitting on their spacious patio watching the shadows rise on the east ridge across from the winery, sipping their fragrant Pinot Gris, and waiting to be served a fabulous salmon entrée. Try it!

gorgeous King Estates Winery sets on the top of a hill, surrounded by beautiful vinyards and lavender plants. One can take a tour of the winery, have lunch or dinner. The food has always been excellent, especially the truffle fries

Being a wine club member is an advantage in that the tastings are free and wine selections at the adjoining beautiful restaurant are discounted, otherwise there is a charge like most wineries are doing. The days of taste all you want for $0 are long passed in most cases. Anyway, the wine selections are always a treat, as are the meals prepared with care, creativity and an artistic flair. Sitting atop a generous hill overlooking the gorgeous Loraine Valley (about 15 miles out of Eugene) with all of the above makes this venture an absolute gem every visit!
