Description: Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

Service was great but my salmon was under cooked and bland. Soup was good but over all the food lacked taste. I also ate here for breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed.

Went for breakfast without a reservation. Apparently it's an expectation. Had to wait for hostess, then a table for three...actually a booth. Menu isn't the usual, some sophistication. But, the waiter was inflexible in his confused explanation. I ordered the frittata and my friends ordered oatmeal and yogurt. A bit of a wait, again. The food was excellent.

We'd never been to Eugene but heard about the Marche restaurant from people who'd lived there for years. It did not disappoint - spectacularly innovative and good food, excellent service, lovely patio,

This is a classy place to eat. I like the white tablecloth atmosphere and the locally sourced ingredients. This time, I had a PBLT. A BLT made with pork belly. The local heirloom tomatoes were juicy and delicious, while the pork was crispy. It was a filling sandwich. For dessert I had a peach financier, made with juicy, local peaches. Delicious!

Several small rooms make us this casual yet elegant restaurant. Food is always excellent from Oregon mussels, to crispy pizza from the open-fire oven to braised local pork. Very good selection of wine and beer. Service efficient and friendly.
