“Food and atmosphere are the reasons !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

A weekend get away to the McKenzie River area for hiking, bonding and a stress relief outing from work life. We spent the day doing those things and decided to head back to the hotel..then we realized we we we hungry. Not the power bar and water, not the nuts nor sweets..we needed comfort food. As we rolled back towards Eugene the nav unit kept providing choices. 2 miles to... 4miles to ...then 6 miles to Chili's. All the Chili's around where we live in Oregon had closed so this is a welcomed opportunity.

This Chili's is attached to a mall with limited views. The entrance is small. But once inside the atmosphere changed with good smells, busy wait staff and way happy patrons. Most with kids. We were quickly seated, provided menu and placed our order. Walkways for staff are minimum but with planning they executed their duties flawlessly. Kid laughter, parents discussing life and the anticipation of good eats that awaited us. Food arrived in 7 minutes hot and in large portions. ..someone was celebrating a birthday with song. A table was finishing and heading to an Oregon Ducks game. The table next to us finished and was heading to the movie. Families in action after a good time and good food.

Staff were fully engaged. Manager was making rounds to meet and greet. Food portions in line with cost. Small space but well managed. Atmosphere for families was the best. Real value all around !

Next time in town we will do it again.

“A Chili's is a Chili's (this one in a mall)”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

There is not much exciting about a Chili's - it is a chain with a standard menu, so you get what you get. This one is in a mall with view of the mall out of the window. Service is generally efficient, but not expect a lot of authenticity in your interactions. The menu is extensive, so you can probably find something you like OK, but don't expect anything too exciting. Our server was pretty bored and gave all indications she had rather be someplace else.

“Love the BBQ ribs!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

This place is great! The atmosphere is good, the wait isn't too long (if it is long, you can always hang out in the mall until it's time) and the location is great! Perfect for an afternoon lunch with friends, or for a nice snack after a long day of shopping! WHen I go here with my family, I usually order the original BBQ baby back ribs. The meat is nice and tender, and the BBQ sauce is sweet, smoky, and salty, just the way I like it! The southwestern eggrolls are fantastically crisp, and loaded with corn, peppers, black beans, spinach and cheese. Yum!

“Not Your Typical Chili's”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

This Chilis is not the typical free standing restaurant. It is Attached to the mall. The size is much smaller, the atmosphere is much more like a coffee shop. The food was good, service good.
