Reviewed August 26, 2013

This gem of a park is a wonderful place to have lunch or just to take a walk. Nice covered area with tables to sit and eat as You view a beautiful array of native bushes and trees, planted for visitors' viewing pleasure. The walkways are easy to navigate and wide enough so couples can hold hands When the rhoddies are in bloom, couples come here for engagement photos because the lawns are lush and the background is amazing!
Don't miss this gem near the University of Oregon.

Even through a very dry spring, the rhododendron and azeala's don't disappoint! Beautiful park any time of year, time it right and you're treated to views like the attached photo.

“Nice place to hike and to see the rhododendron”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

There are two sections to this park. One side includes hiking trails, and dogs are allowed. The other part is the rhododendron garden where dogs are not allowed. It's definitely worth a visit in the spring (May/June) when the rhodies are in bloom!

“The best time to visit is when the rhodies are blooming.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

It is so beautiful when all the flowers are blooming. We have taken picnics there for a romantic evening, and have had events at one of the covered places -- going-away parties, graaduation parties, etc.
