“Very Plush Comfy Bed, Clean and Beautiful”
Reviewed August 17, 2009

Had no problems checking in. They even asked me which floor I prefered to have a room on. The room was beautiful with contemporary furnishing and his and hers sinks.
The Bed was soft warm and comfy. Everything was clean and looked new.
The best parts were the indoor heated pool and the breakfast which featured scrambled eggs, warm tortillas, biscuits and gravy and as well as the usual cereal, bagels, toast and fruits. I had a wonderful stay.

After reading the mixed reviews, I was a bit concerned, but the Phoenix Inn Suites was fine, even better than expected. The beds were very comfortable, better than most three star hotels. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge. A nice touch were the free cookies on the reception desk. The heated indoor pool and jacuzzi were very enjoyable and no one else was using them late on a Friday afternoon. We had a room on the canal side and we even saw ducks in the morning. How appropriate, give that Eugene is the home of the University of Oregon. While this is your basic mid-range price hotel, it was plenty good enough for us and we were happy to stay here.

Thank you for your review, the beds in my opinion are the best. Double pillow top mattresses are hard to beat. We look forward to your next visit!

While in town for a family wedding this past weekend, our family booked a large number of rooms at the Phoenix Inn. On the morning of the wedding, we discovered that four of our rental cars had been burglarized overnight (windows had been smashed). The Phoenix Inn staff offered NO assistance. They didn't offer to call the police, they didn't offer to shuttle our older family members to the wedding just 10 blocks away, they didn't offer to pay for cab fare. The front desk clerk wouldn’t put us in touch with the hotel manager, even after I left her my cell number, he never returned my call. The hotel disclaimed any responsibility even after we discovered from the police that this is a common occurrence in the Phoenix Inn parking lot. So much a common occurrence that auto glass repair business cards are available at the front desk! The Phoenix Inn could have taken even the most minor steps to mitigate a horrible wedding day morning. They failed in every respect. Coming from back East, this was our first visit at a Phoenix Inn. It will be our last.

We stayed here with my son, a teenager. The room was big and clean. However, I thought that the sofa was a sleeper bed. It was not. The breakfast was hot and very good. The rooms were quiet.

The staff was very knowledgeable as well. This hotel is right near the campus and it seems to get heavy use, which may account for some of its wear.

'Ditto the reviewer who commented that the refrigerator froze my food.

However, we paid around $120 and felt the hotel was worth the value.

I was extremely disapointed with the quality of this hotel. Not only was our room kind of dingy and dirty our fridge froze everything we put in it including wine and leftover food. We got a jacuzzi suite and it was the most basic hotel room I have ever been in, especially for the price. They advertise an extended continental breakfast but when we got there at 8:30 am we took the last two plates and almost all of the food was gone and was not refilled. The second floor hallway was extremely hot and when we got into our room the ac was on full blast and it was freezing. When we turned in our room keys the woman behind the counter didn't even ask us how are stay was. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Not what I expected because of reviews. The Inn in Bend is very nice. The carpets and shower curtain were dirty. 19" TV with poor quality. The furniture was beat. The Bed was nice. The property and common area were also nice.
