“Nice motel and great location”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for one night this past week. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly and accommodating front desk help. Nice lounge chairs available to relax in. Great location within walking distance to many nice restaurants. I will stay here again when passing through Eugene.

My fiance and I were down in Eugene for a night visiting friends, so we decided to get a room in town so we could stay over. When we checked in, we simply got our keys and went out to join our friends and when we got back, we were too tired to do anything but go to bed immediately. Our mistake. Come the morning, we found that our room was left half-dirty; we were missing towels, the garbage wasn't empty and in the bathroom there was no shampoo (only a half-used conditioner bottle). We also found a half empty Gatorade bottle under the bed when double-checking for our belongings. On top of that, two of the lights in our room were burned out and we had to play musical light-bulbs for a minute in order to "adequately light" our room. I left a complaint with the front desk staff at the time of check out, but having already stayed the night in the room, there wasn't much they were willing to do at that point. I guess I don't blame them, but is it too much to ask for a clean room, sight-unseen?

While the front desk staff was friendly, and the rooms (very basic) were modestly priced for the amenities and the location, I can safely say that this place should have a conversation or two with their housekeeping staff.

Normally our rooms are double-checked by the head of hskp'ing, so this doesn't occur, but obviously that didn't happen also. We appreciate your bringing this occurrence to our attention.

Location is the best part of this motel; reasonably priced; continental breakfast is very limited - they didn't have decaf coffee. The room was smelly, opening the window was helpful and turning the air conditioning on high. The staff at the desk could not help me very well with directions, other than printing out map quest directions.

Room Tip: Perhaps an upstairs room would have been better?

This place looks cute from the outside and is priced well got it through Expedia but it smells really bad and doesn't feel clean. The comforter looks ancient and the tv while a flat screen is very pixely if that is a word. The window opened thanks goodness be aide the odor is overwhelming. Being a tall person I don't fit under the shower and the tub is chipped. Anyway won't stay here again for sure. Even my teens were grossed out.

We are more than willing to move you to another room if you feel the one you are in has an odor or doesn't meet your satisfaction . The desk staff is dedicated to resolving issues we are made aware of.

This hotel was the only one in town with an available room for the night before graduation. I was desperate and a bit concerned until I read other travelers reviews. What a great place! The room was very comfortable, breakfast was limited but good, location was excellent, convenient to the freeway and campus but quiet. But the best part of all was the welcoming person at reception. I don't recall her name, but she went above and beyond, coming upstairs with me to make sure a 2nd set of room keys worked, after the first ones failed. The hotel provides wireless Internet + free continental breakfast, a cozy reception area complete with guest accessible computer. All this and a very reasonable rate!

Room Tip: I stayed in a smaller room on the Far East end of the hotel, 2nd floor (above the hot tub). It was...

This motel has parking, a great location for easy access, a couple of blocks from downtown Eugene and close to the U of Oregon campus. It is clean, well appointed, but has tight spaces in the bedroom and bathroom. When using the lap-top at the desk, there is no way a person can pass without getting up and moving the chair. The desk chair was large for the space and couldn’t be adjusted to a comfortable desk level. Because of the small space, the window air conditioning unit becomes a shelf. Would we stay at the Campus Inn again? Yes; but we would certainly check out other locations with comparable prices, location, and a little larger room.

Room Tip: One Queeen size bed might offer more space to move around.

If you have certain requirements/needs it is a good idea to look at the room prior to renting it. All of our rooms are not the same and the desk staff is happy to let you look at a couple of rooms to judge for yourself. Our deluxe rooms are a very good value for the price.

Was in Eugene with my wife for the Black Sheep Gathering, where my wife's fiber guild, was competing in the sheep to shawl contest, and stayed at the Campus Inn. I booked early but after reading some of the reviews, I became skeptical. I had no reason to be concerned. The value was great! Our room was great! No odors or anything. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was very close to to the Event Center. Being visitors and not knowing the ways to go, the staff provided directions without hesitation. The continental breakfast looked good, but because of dietary restriction, we could not partake in many of their offerings. For hot breakfasts, they do have a good breakfast/lunch establishment across the street, Todd's Place. OH by the way, my wife's fiber guild, Hangtown Fiber Guild from Placerville, California won the sheep 2 shawl contest.

Room Tip: Online reservations saved me more than just stopping in.
