Right in downtown Eugene, walking distance from the Hult Center, is a little cafe tucked into a historic old brick building. We had a delicious breakfast, both of us choosing from the specials for the day. My husband had the scramble, filled with yummy and very fresh foods, and I had a Hawaiian French toast that was delicious. We actually shared them both and were very happy with our great-tasting breakfast.

I was by myself in Eugene, Oregon and happened upon this small cafe on a side street, right near the Hilton Hotel where I was staying. I overheard some people talking about what a great meal (breakfast/lunch) they had at this cafe, to I wandered over there. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful when I couldn't decide what to eat. The French toast that I had was the best I ever tasted....so, I went back again for lunch...and had the special of the day, which was a fabulous soup and veggie salad that had a fabulous dressing on it. Good for those that like organic and fresh food...also good for vegans. Cook seems to be willing to make you whatever you want. A must visit in Eugene....I will be back

WOW, can I please warn you now, as a long time local, that this place is just plain nasty and trying to pull off a diner/coffee house with 2 nasty looking camp stoves is SAD and WRONG. I'm pretty sure the health board would shut them down in a second if they saw this scary grungy dump. RUDE servers I could smell across the restaurant, not to be rude but it's really true. And they actually acted like I was coming in off the street when I went up to ask to use the bathroom. I told them I had already ordered food and she didn't say sorry just rudely motioned with her hand it's out there. GROSS watery tofu scramble with HORRIBLE looking brown potatoes and a sad limp piece of toast. There are so many wonderful places to eat in Eugene but park street cafe is RANK, avoid at all costs!

My sister, a vegan, and I stumbled upon this small cafe while sightseeing through unique downtown shops in Eugene. A locally owned book store and a classic stationery shop near the train station are worth a look. The cafe had a warm quinoa/steamed veggie with tahini sauce bowl that the owner/cook told me how to cook at home. We went back the next morning for French toast with fresh peaches and sliced almonds. Delicious. It's not fancy, a few tables (one outdoors) and a counter of stools facing the park, and it's only open for breakfast and lunch, but it's worth finding.
