“The River”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We like to watch the river and the activity around it. The view is always changing with the season and the weather. We can sit inside our room and enjoy the scenery outside.

“Rapids and fishing!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I live on the Willamette River- almost where it starts it's journey.
It is nothing like the river at Portland. Near Lowell it is a beutiful clean water experience with awesome fishing, rafting and recreation. Summers Lowell hosts the drag boat races at Dexter dam- one which is on the river. Numerous regattas and rowing events also. The coolest visit is free! The fish hatchery at base of Dexter Dam is incredible experience when fish are reaching maturity and you see the monsters in the holding pools!

“How far can you paddle?”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

The Willamette river main stem is 187 miles long and travels through many towns in Oregon, including Eugene, Salem and Portland. Most of that is navigable by boat, and the scenery is lovely. The Willamette also has it's share of salmon and steelhead runs, so the fishing can be quite good too.

“Willamet river parks are great, and lots of fun.”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

I realy enjoy the river, along with all of the good people that are there. The rafting is exciting, and so is the fishin. I also enjoy how close it is to go have a picnic in the river parks.
