“every day fun.”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Great exercise. Many trails. It is very close to Eugene and good to visit all year long. Spring time flowers are best on south-east side. Good sunset view. Parking $4

“A wonderful place to enjoy the view”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

My wife an I hike this mountain practically every day. It has become an important part of our lives. Our daily trip to the Mount Pisgah Arboretum and Buford Park gives us both a physical challenge to start the day and a chance to get in touch with the natural world around us. Rain or shine, there is never a bad day at Mount Pisgah.

Love hiking upper and river trails. Beautiful views either way. The mushroom Fest is incredible here. Some of the most interesting fungus one can see,

“November Visit”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

Every time I visit the park there is some improvements. There was a children's fair going on and we walked through to take a hike with our dogs.

The trail to the river was in great shape. My 82 year old mother had no problem negotiating to the river to watch the dogs swim.

We returned and walked through the fair. The Back Country Horseman Grp. was great to talk to, had a good lesson to teach, and we enjoyed the miniature horses. Keep up the good work.

“Mt. Pisgah... Not Just for Running!!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

I love to take contemplative walks with friends, and Mt. Pisgah is a great place for that. But when I am wanting a good vigorous Hike... this is my first choice in the Eugene-Springfield area. Trail #1.. the main trail to the summit is 2.8 miles roundtrip, and approximately a 1,050 foot elevation change (summit is 1,531 feet). This makes for a good walk, hike or run even if you are in pretty good physical condition.

The scenery is beautiful, and keep your eyes open for wildlife, include some beautiful bucks that will walk right across your path. The view from the top offers a lovely panorama of Lane County with a clear-day sight of the Cascades, and some wonderful peace and quiet. The trails and surroundings are very well maintained by staff and volunteers (Thank You!!).

If you want to cool down... or wish to continue your contemplative walk, mosey through the arboretum down below. All-all-all, a great way to spend time, work out or relax.

While you will see horses (and riders) from time to time, I don't believe any type of biking is allowed on Mt. Pisgah.

Although there is not a fee for Mt. Pisgah... you must pay to park! If you are going to go more than a few times a year, it pays to get an annual pass for Lane County Parks and not have to worry about getting a parking sticker at the somewhat finicky machine. And, it is a great way to support Mt. Pisgah and all it has to offer.
