My wife and I have been to varied performing arts venues in San Francisco and San Jose as well as Tacoma and Seattle in the 1980's. As our parents and extended families live in SW Washington, we frequently travel from No California to WA. We have frequently been in the outskirts of Eugene, mostly near the I-5 corridor, but had the opportunity to go into the city and attend a John Williams directed concert of the Eugene Symphony this past weekend. The Hult center seats about 2200 and is structured in tiers. It is a very modern facility, pleasing to look at and well managed by staff and volunteers. We were on the mezzanine level, and although up and back aways, had a good unobstructed view of the proceedings. The acoustics are phenomenal. The audience was most appreciative of the concert which certainly added to our experience. Good job Eugene, and central to Western Oregon. We will gladly return.
