Stayed at this hotel on our way to San Francisco from BC, Canada. Price was good, great location, bedding was very nice, some renovations going on but didnt effect us. booked through hotels.com which ripped us off, never again!!! could have done better at the front desk. 143.00 compared to 119.00

Well, that what it feels like when you get a room rate you're happy with, now you have to pay an extra $15.00 for parking and pay for wifi (another $15), where as most places we stay offer that as a free service these days. Ok, well, wifi is free down at the business centre.

The room was comfortable enough, but no fridge or micro... Again, the norm in most places we stay at. Some stains on the carpet which made me question whether we were in a "pet room", but we don't travel with out pet. The reason I say this about the pet room is there was a yapping dog barking in the room next door at 10:30 at night. Where is the owner and why was it left to bark? I called the front desk and this was resolved within 30 minutes. The room had old style aluminum windows with single pane and ill fitting. Lots of noise still filtered through along with a good draft. Ok for summer, but would be chilly in winter. And those nightly train whistles....

So, perhaps we will skip this one on our next trip down. Priceline gave us good rates, but I dislike paying all those extras.

Room Tip: Away from pet rooms if you don't have one yourself.

Stayed at the Hilton Eugene in July for a couple nights while in town for a wedding. The Hilton is centrally located so you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, bars, etc downtown. The rooms are a decent size but a little tired. The hotel really needs a facelift. It's been updated but not renovated. It feels very early 1990s. Also, several of us that arrived a good 3-4 hours after the check-in time had to wait 30mins to a couple of hours for our rooms because housekeeping was behind. Not sure how that happens when we were arriving after 5pm! Hotel staff was pleasant but should have at least offered those of us waiting a comp drink at the bar or something. Instead we were just directed to the public restrooms to get changed for te rehearsal dinner. Anyway there's nothing special or nice about this hotel. It's fine and liked to be about the best option in Eugene anyway...we ordered room service which was fine -didn't expect much so my expectations were met. The room service staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Location downtown. Best thing I can say about this hotel is it is located right next to the Hult Center, where we were seeing a show. Walked right over and back. Check in was fast and friendly. In the middle of remodeling, which we were aware of. Not a huge inconvenience and looks like it will be nice when done. Hope the remodeling continues to the rest of the hotel. Seems like an older hotel with a mix of some newer--the decor in our room and some older--the carpet in our room and the hallways, plus half of our bathroom. There was no microwave or refrigerator in our room. No fan in the bathroom and our towel rack was in the shower! Nice variety of amenities in the bathroom. Squishy bed. Pointless balconies off the room. About a foot wide to stand on. Room was noisy with balcony door open, quiet enough when closed. The room was big enough, the bathroom small. Was not thrilled to pay for parking. The pool is in the basement. Cold and kind of dirty looking. The hot tub was outside. Hot tub itself was ok, but surrounding area looked old, dirty and tired. Hallways were not super clean, food, trash and misc. stuff just laying around. Was happy with location and price was good, but would not choose this hotel again. Was disappointed, especially from the Hilton name.

I am sorry that you were a bit disappointed with your stay. We are under renovation currently, and this remodel will extend into the guest corridors and bathrooms, including placing refrigerators in all of our guest rooms. All of our guest rooms will receive new furnishings and decor, the bathrooms will receive new tiles, back lit mirrors and new vanities, Our renovation will be completed in November.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Hilton Eugene & Conference Center, renting a 2 room suite. The suite on the 5th floor was huge, and included two bathrooms, 2 closets, 2 large flat screen tv's, a completely separate living room with very large table and 6 dining room chairs, plus a wet bar. The suite was located in the corner so the bedroom had windows on two walls. All rooms were very clean, the linens and towels were of a very nice quality and the lighting was plentiful. Since the availability of suites are often not listed on the Hilton website, I had called the hotel directly and the Front Desk Manager, Tao, offered this to me. It was a good choice.
Some reviewers have noted the $15.00 parking fee, but in our experience getting parking at this rate is very low as often parking at hotels in a city runs $25 - $30 per night. BTW, the parking is underground and the elevator connects directly to the floors with the rooms which is not always the case in city hotels.
Our only issue is with the buffet breakfast. The buffet breakfast is said to be available until 12 noon. The 1st morning we arrived at 11 a.m. for the buffet. Everything that was supposed to be hot (except the scrambled eggs) was cold. The man at the omelet table was not interested in making an omelet and was not interested in seeing that anything on the buffet table was refreshed. There was however, a nice buffet table for fruits and juices and those were fine. The 2nd morning we arrived around 9:30 a.m. and everything on the buffet tables was fresh and the temperature of the foods was appropriate. It appeared that the staff were more interested in keeping the buffet fresh if there were more people in the restaurant.

The hotel is conveniently located to the site where the Saturday market is held each weekend--- practically outside the door of the hotel. The Saturday Market an interesting place to browse, shop, and enjoy the entertainment.

We enjoyed our stay and will return here if in Eugene in the future.

My husband and I stayed in the Hilton for several nights recently and were not impressed. Our room was clean and the bed was big, it had a coffee maker and the location is great, but that was about as far as it went. We had to pay for parking and wi-fi in addition to the too-high room rate. Unfortunately, it was the only hotel with availability since Oregon Country Fair was going on. I would have thought a Hilton would have provided a more polished experience, but I was disappointed.

I am sorry that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. Please know that we are renovating our guest rooms, public space and main lobby. Our guest rooms are receiving new furnishings and decor, along with new in room refrigerators. The lobby and public space will also receive all new furnishings and decor. We hope to complete the renovation by November 1st. We do also offer several room packages that include parking and Internet in the room rate. These packages offer great value and can be found in the Specials section of our website.

The hotel is adjacent to the Hult Center, where most of the performances of the Oregon Bach Festival take place, and is right in downtown Eugene. We were never bothered by street noise, though, and the area is very walkable, with many restaurant choices close by. I saw reviews that complained about the noise of the train that passes through town several times a day, but we were not bothered by that. We did hear it, but to us it was pleasant. The rooms are clean, attractive and comfortable. The lobby was being renovated while we were there, but care was taken to minimize the noise and dust. All the staff were courteous and helpful. It is a great value, and we would stay there again.
