We had a group of 5 girls on this whitewater rafting tour. None of us is a strong swimmer. It was raining but that didn't discourage us from whitewater rafting. We didn't have a car so Pete offered to pick us up at a coffee shop at Estacada. We had an amazing time. We rented wet suits and booties because the water temperature was 40 degree. We also had helmets and gloves. Our tour guide, Chris, was very professional and knowledgeable. He was definitely exceeding expectations. He took really good care of us. We felt safe and had tons of fun!!!!! We highly recommend it!

We took our daughter on her first white water trip and we all had a lot of fun. We did the half-day tour on the Clackamas River. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the river. I would highly recommend them.

This was our first time out for white water rafting. We paid online, got our email and met the rafting team close to the launch site. This was a level 3-4 run, so OK for newbies. The water was mostly calm but there were sections that were faster. I recommend you do what the guide says or you may fall over the side. (we lost one of ours but recovered quick). They take pics along the way so you'll have something for later. Have fun and good luck!

We booked the half-day tour with Blue Sky for the Clackamas River. At first, I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure how the rapids would be but luckily for us, in the summertime, the rapids aren't as treacherous as it would be when the water levels are higher. It was very manageable plus our guide was great in ensuring our safety and warning us ahead of time if a rapid was challenging.

The whole booking process was easy and after booking, they'll send you an email with the meeting point and what to bring. We followed the google map coordinates they sent us, which took us to the exact meeting point, which is also the end point of the rafting trip. Once you park at the meeting spot, you get dressed and prepared to get transported up the river to our starting area. They'll also start taking pictures of groups before the trip and throughout the rafting trip, primarily when going through the rapids.

Booking a whitewater trip can be a little scary but I would definitely recommend it for people. Don't be scared by the Clackamas River's description of being meant for intermediate rafters because there were children on our excursion and it was completely safe. The crew are really professional and teach you everything you need to know to keep yourself safe during the rafting trip. I would also recommend bringing a towel to dry off afterwards, a strap for your sunglasses in case they fall off (thanks so much Mary of Blue Sky for lending me yours), and waterproof shoes or rent a pair from Blue Sky for a couple of bucks.

Also, they charge $40 for the pictures they take of you but also allow people in the same raft to split the costs.

We had a fantastic outing this past Friday. We did a rafting trip with ten guys, and everything about the experience was pretty awesome. They make you a lunch about halfway down the trip, and it was way better than I expected: steaks, chicken, garlic bread, fresh fruit, a whole bunch of other things, and oreo cookies. Appealing to the fat kid in us all with oreos was a clutch move, and it was indeed appreciated.

Our guides were really fun, and they found little things for us to do along the way like surfing rocks or jumping off a 30 foot ledge, for those who were interested.

The rapids were pretty calm, I think because it's late in the year, but it provided for a really relaxing, great day down the river!
