We stayed at the Whales Rendezvous in early August and really loved it. The innkeepers (Joe and Dian) are wonderful. Our room looked right out onto the ocean and we saw whales playing just offshore everyday. The room was very cozy and had all the things you need to survive (refrig, coffee pot, and microwave). The bathroom is great and has a full sized jet tub. All the fixtures are updated and the shower is very nice even for a big guy. They supplied coffee and sodas and water along with cookies to snack on. In the morning breakfast is served in your room and it’s fantastic. Everything was fresh and the presentation was really nice. The room itself had a TV with DVD’s along with satellite. The big open windows are nice to look out when you are not on the lovely deck. The garden entrance is private and Dian is helpful with tips on where to dine and what to do. In the evening Dian brought down a nice desert to enjoy. We loved traveling the Oregon coast and the Whales Rendezvous was one of the highlights of the trip. We high recommend this spot to stay and we will return one day.

We had a fabulous stay. The location is great, the room contains lots of special touches, the breakfast is wonderful (maybe too wonderful as my clothes aren't too comfortable upon my return to reality), the bed is comfortable and Joe and Dian are fabulous. You won't be sorry to give this B and B a try. ENJOY!

Dian & Joe know what they are doing! This is your own private sanctuary. The waves crashing lull you to sleep. You can enjoy your magnicant breakfast in your own garden or your beautifully decorated room or even your own deck overlooking the ocean to the sound of the birds singing. Their attention to detail is second to none. If you've lost your faith in mankind, this will restore it! You feel that they prepared just for your visit and you truly do not want to leave and even begin to plan for your next visit before you even pack to depart this one.

My husband and I stayed at Whales Rendezvous for 5 nights in May 2008. We were looking to find a B&B that was peaceful, private, cozy, and on the ocean. Whales Rendezvous exceeded our expectations!

It was luxurious but not pretentious and one can really unwind and get away from it all. We tend to be very picky about cleanliness and service and we were extremely happy with our choice to vacation there. You have your own private entrance and can lock the room when you are away (not that you would need to in Depoe Bay, but comforting none the less). You also have your own patio and separate deck overlooking the ocean.

The innkeepers, Joe and Dian, are very sweet and know how to spoil their guests! Breakfasts were unbelievable and served right to your room every morning. They love their B&B and are great at what they do. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely return!!

We found a little piece of heaven on the Oregon Coast this past week-end. The view was simply unsurpassed from anywhere we have ever stayed on the Oregon Coast before. The ocean was so close that the crashing waves was simply magnificent to hear all night long. Joe and Dian Forbis our hosts forgot nothing. The room was so beautiful yet homey. All the extra little touches that did not go unnoticed by us just added to the rooms splendor and our comfort. You could just lay in the big comfortable bed and watch the waves crash. This was not your typical B&B, we had our own entrance, garden, large deck and we were treated like friends. The breakfast was simply awesome. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and they were just wonderful about it and put out a truly gourmet breakfast served in our room in our bathrobes. The room has a large jetted tub, flat screen TV with over 25-30 movies to choose from, complimentary sodas, coffee, cocoa, popcorn, bottled water etc.. They don't forget a thing. If you'd like to be pampered for the weekend with unsurpassed views, you've got to visit here.

Whales Rendezvous is absolutely the best in bed and breakfast accomodation. The stunning scenery can't be equaled very many places in the world. There are whales within shouting distance, crashing waves at every glance out the beautiful large windows, and every comfort and amenity offered within. The innkeepers are talented gifted hosts with every thought for the guests who are lucky to visit this magical place. Private huge patios with an outdoor fireplace are unparalleled for views and ambience. This is a romantic rendezvous beyond compare and I highly recommend it for couples or singles traveling alone. My experience there was relaxing and the ultimate getaway. This place gets an A plus for everything.

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to relax
and get away for a few days. I found Whale Rendezvous on the vrbo website and fell in love with it. The pictures do not adequately show the beautiful view you will see from the inside, the patio and the garden. We were able to see whales every day during our stay. Joe and Dian are warm and welcoming and make you feel right at home. Their huge breakfast is so delicious and filling, you won't have to eat again until dinner time. They also provide special treats in your room and an assortment of DVDs to view while eating popcorn in the cozy robes provided in the room. Although restaurants and shopping are just steps away, it is quiet and peaceful, and all you will hear are birds and waves. We will definitely be back. The owners and this place are truly special, and you will not regret staying here!!!
