This is a working olive mill, I believe the only commercial olive mill in the state of Oregon. It is a short drive (about 35 minutes) from both Salem and Portland. They have several delicious varieties available for tasting and purchase in the gift shop, along with other local goodies including honey, baked goods, cured meats, and even a small nursery. The views are gorgeous, with views of Mount Hood on a clear day. I highly recommend an afternoon visit!

Went to the Olio Nuovo Festival that coincides with olive harvest in November. New orchards are beautiful but young, so the actual oil comes from California olives until the Oregon groves are large enough to harvest commercially. Nevertheless, fun to see olives growing in Oregon, and the pressing does occur on the premises. Tasting the several, new pressed oils (pressed within the past few days!) was interesting delicious. Various sized bottles and cans for sale, so the experience can go home. Also home to the Red Ridge Farms, Dundee Hills winery. Tastings here, too. The site has a garden and gift shop, with lot's of olive oil and olive wood products, along with other plants and local products.
Beautiful views, and a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Enjoyed the brief free tour on the pretty grounds. Intended it as a quick inexpensive activity though but after going inside the tasting room, it was far from inexpensive! Excited about my vinegar, oil, and honey purchases but with natural and well made products comes a higher price.

We stopped to try the wine and stayed for the Olive Tour and Talk. It was very well done and worth the time. Trying the Olive Oil was as good as trying the wine. If you are anywhere near there you will be happy you stopped by.

Lots of great gifts and olive oils to taste, set in lush gardens and within view of vineyards. A perfect compliment to a day of wine tasting
