“Best Pad Thai in Corvallis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

We no longer need the menu when we eat at Tarn Tip, just go straight for the Pad Thai. But their other selections are excellent as well. We're fortunate to have choices in Thai food in such a small community, but Tarn Tip is the best.

“Best Thai Food in Town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2012

I go here often. There are so many wonderful things on their menu. Dare to choose something off the beaten path, because it's bound to be delicious. Plenty of selection, dishes for those who eat meat as well as vegetarians. Some of my favorites are: Chicken Coconut Soup, Siam Noodles, Laab, Chicken with bamboo shoots & green chilis, any of their curries, Phat Woon Sen, and finally Kang Pa (which shows up in the curry menu but seems more like a very spicy brothy soup, perhaps a fish sauce or shrimp paste base). Two things you should know - they don't take credit cards (ATM around the corner at OSU credit union and they don't serve alcohol, but you are allowed to carry in your own beer apparently. (I've never done this, but the option is there.)

“Good Thai Food”

This really is quite good. I find some of the dishes as outstanding and others about average. The servers can do with a bit of training.

“Better Thai elsewhere”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2011

This restaurant has been in this location a long time, yet they don't seem to offer great food. I don't get it. The service at lunchtime, when it's really busy, is abysmal. I try to be forgiving but they've been across the street from OSU forever, so you'd think they could accommodate the lunchtime crowds. The soups, curries, and other Thai dishes I've had here are just okay, nothing special. Prices for lunch are reasonable, but it's really just a heap of rice and a bowl of curry something. Not a great place for Thai, in my opinion, plus parking near here is impossible while school is in session.
