We have stayed here regularly on our visits to Corvallis and have been consistently pleased with accommodations, service and value. The property is conveniently located to restaurants and retail stores. The best part of this hotel is the staff who have always done all they could to be friendly and efficient. Our first choice in Corvallis.

The Best Western Grand Manor in Corvallis is fantastic. The staff allowed us to check-in early and were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a beautiful, well maintained rooms with beds and pillows that were extremely comfortable. We were in Corvallis for Mom's weekend so the hotel was extremely lively, yet the staff was calm and accommodating. There were flowers at the counter for the mom's each day - a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay!

With limited hotel options in Corvallis, Oregon, we ended up choosing this hotel due to reviews and the reputation of the Best Western chain. We were there during Mom's Weekend and it's frustrating that they increased their rates over 100% just to take advantage of a lot of people being in town for the weekend. ($269+ Mom's weekend vs. $110+ for the following weekend). That's just not right!

We were on the 2nd floor. Would recommend the 3rd floor as then you won't hear the people above you. Would also suggest you ask for a room towards the Motel 6 and away from 9th Street. Having a balcony is nice for drinking your morning coffee.

The hotel just went though a recent remodel, but it was inconsistent and several areas didn't feel 'clean' and certainly not 'new'. They also make a big claim of a 'full breakfast'. It's the same type of limited buffet, cereal, breads, juices, etc. as any other 'breakfast included' hotel. The coffee needs to be made with higher quality filters as small particles were floating on the surface of each cup of coffee. This was consistent with all cups of coffee, both mornings. At first I thought maybe my coffee mug was dusty and I rinsed it out and tried again. No change. Ended up going across the street to Starbucks (which I'm not fond of and it's expensive for a simple cup of coffee).

Our room had a very small bathroom (tiny) and the room layout was very strange with way too many chairs in the part of the room that had the TV and refrigerator. Not a good utilization of space and it was awkward to lay in bed and try and watch TV. It would have been better to have the 'sitting area' next to the sliding glass door and balcony. The lights from the parking lot shines into the room at night (shutter blinds that don't block out the light because the slats are big and thick). And it's noisy if you want to sleep with the balcony door open.

The hot/cold water in the sink was backwards and we ran out of hot water our first morning so only one of us got to shower. Afternoon hot water was fine.

The outdoor carpet on the small balcony was water damaged and looked moldy. Made the entire room feel dirty.

On a positive note, the bath towels were nice and fluffy and the bed linens were nice. And they provided plenty of towels. Sink/vanity area is very small and the sink counter makes using the closet almost impossible.

Staff was friendly, but several times no one was at the front desk (maybe working behind the wall?). But the staff was helpful and professional. Nice to have free newspaper to read and if you like cookies, they were always available for a quick sweet!

Pool area needed more umbrellas for shade (or other shade options). It was windy during our stay and the umbrella's couldn't be used because they weren't secured to the ground and would tip over.

It was fine for a room to sleep in, but certainly not what was advertised and certainly not a value at the price they charged.

Room Tip: Ask for a 3rd floor, towards the Motel 6 and away from 9th Street. Balcony is nice but not necessary.

Great place for folk going to tournaments but not for the tired businessman or traveling family wishing for peace and quiet. My wife attended the big pickleball tournament (two silver medals!!) and she and her partner were given a room on the parking lot side of the hotel. OMG! (she says), the college tournaments and celebrating kids were so noisy past 1:00 AM which the sound proofing could not reject. They had to get up at 5:00 AM anyway so the lack of sleep was telling and it made the first days matches more difficult. Kate's advice: Stay on the other side of the building if it's a busy collegiate weekend!!

The room was good, clean and well kept. The beds were excellent and the staff were over the top. Kudos to the manager and cooking staff. Because the first matches were early Kate and the team asked if they could have breakfast 40 minutes early and they did so. The egg scramble was mixed with cheese and the offerings were extensive. Kate mentioned that she wanted scrambled eggs as a comment and the manager jumped on it. You WILL get your eggs without cheese (allergic to cheese) and you will have them before you have to leave at 6:20 AM. Sure enough, the next morning they prepared the plain scramble for her and served it early just for her and the team. Amazing service! This manager must have gotten an "A" in customer service 101.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the opposite side of the front of the building (9th St). That should keep the noise level down if there are celebrating college kids in the parking lot in front. Kate didn't think they had a restaurant and she didn't ask for room service, so comment. Breakfast though was very, very good. My wife gave me all of this info and I transcribed it however I didn't go. I had to feed the horses, cats and dogs back at the ranch...

So weird that I had to write a letter to the General Manager. I recommend that you look at a room before selecting. Upon entering the room, it looked really lovely - great beds; lots of pillows; BIG, louvered double french doors to outside balcony.......

But here's the deal - no black out drapes so at night with outside lighting coming through the louvres it was like being in a starship. The beds(whch are VERY comfortable by the way) face
the bathroom???? The TV is at the side of the room which makes it visible from the beds only
if you are an owl. The mic and frig were there but not plugged in and we couldn't get at the cords. No ergonomic chair for the "desk" but rather an uncomfortable coffee table type side chair. Breakfast room is small and uses those really thin cheap plastic utensils which I HATE. Our room has 4 chairs. I say - turn in two of the chairs and buy better silverware.

Room Tip: Look before you buy......maybe other rooms have better layout
