“Nicely done!”

Corvallis restaurants have come a long ways in the last 20 years, and del Alma shows that this town has now evolved enough to provide a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is comfortable and classy, and the service attentive and friendly. The wine list was plentiful and it looked like they served some fun cocktails. The menu consists of a nice array of tapas and entrees, all using fresh and often local ingredients. I had the beef filet, which was extremely tender and cooked perfectly, and ended the meal with the Mexican flourless chocolate torte served with salted caramel ice cream, which was absolutely, sinfully marvelous. I would highly recommend del Alma for an upscale dinner that you'll really enjoy.

“Nice place, good service, good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

We met a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. Apps were provided. Dinner and drinks were on each individual. We ordered a couple of small plates to share. The staff split the portions on to individual plates. The vinaigrette on the signature salad is very good. For desert, we split a piece of their flourless chocolate torte. Imagine the best chocolate truffle you've ever had - only better. It was topped with house-made salted caramel ice cream. The torte was smooth and had just a little chili for heat which went very well with the chocolate. Wonderful!

Visited for lunch and had no wait. The person taking our order was friendly and helpful with questions. Dining area was very clean and modern. Food arrived quickly, and was devoured just as fast. Will happily return.

“Inventive, delicious cocktails and great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at del Alma. Rather than grazing through tapas, we each started with the soup of the day--a sweet and slightly spicy sweet potato bisque with a black bean topping. Quite delightful. We then moved on to the main course: lamb for my husband, duck confit for me. Both dishes had exciting flavors and were accompanied by interesting vegetables that complimented the meat. I had a perfect mojito made with house infused chocolate-cinnamon run that was seriously the best mojito I have ever had. The meal is fronted by fresh bread served with interesting spreads. This is a very upscale, yet casual restaurant, and certainly one of the best in Corvallis. Friendly, enthusiastic servers work the tables with care and efficiency. I look forward to dining here again.

“Great tapas.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

We did not make a reservation and it was a busy night, so our group of 5 were invited to sit in the bar area. I think that was a lucky deal because we had a quieter experience and a wonderful set of windows to look out. We did not order dinners, but rather shared several tapas. All were inventive and delicious. The service was very good. I don't live in Corvallis, but it is worth the drive to celebrate a special night.
