Miles of walking trails through the forest with varied old deciduous and conifer trees up and down the gentle hills and around ponds Striking views that made me stop many times to photograph. Huge ferns. Just beautiful!

Lots of trails, some marked with the names of trees. Careful, tho, I got lost in here once because a trail wasn't marked. Pay attention and you'll really enjoy the variety of trails from easy to moderate.

Not only can you take a great hike, a lot of the trees/foliage is labeled. Only downside is that there isn't a water feature while hiking. What a great experience!

Several real nice loops in this OSU Research Forest. Also some really nice places to just sit and enjoy the sunshine if it's out! We've enjoyed the Cronemiller Lake loop, it's about a 1.5 mile loop along the road, then along an optional hillside trail. Also the Powderhouse Trail Loop. Lots of old-growth and 2nd-growth to be seen.
