Great Sandy beach with a lot of stuff for kids to do. Please Note the further out you go on the Sandy beach you will find more nudity and more drug activity which is why I have 4 star. Overall a very nice Park with good facilities.b

This state park is just off the interstate so it's a very convenient place to visit. There is a hiking trail in the woods, a nice beach on the river which is clothing optional, restrooms, etc. it's worth a visit especially during the summer months

Only $5 to get in and it is a great stop if you are traveling that way. Clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, a few state park signs to give you just enough background. It is right on the river so you can get your feet wet and have a nice picnic. I could imagine Lewis and Clark making their way down the river and stopping at this exact spot to camp.

You'll have to pay a small fee to park here, but there are plenty of spaces to do so, on a lovely stretch of sandy beach along the Columbia River. There are picnic tables on the grassy areas closest to the parking lot, and you have to hike about a mile to get to the beach, but it's worth it. River current is very mild, and a small island separates the waterway from boats, so it's easy and calm to take a dip in the water (which is also rather shallow, so it also feels safe for amateur swimmers). One area of the beach is marked as a clothing optional area (recognized and patrolled by the American Association for Nude Recreation), and some people exercise that option. The gay area is farther east, but there are families and people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and persuasions all there to enjoy being out in nature, so bring along a cooler, some towels, and plenty of SPF sunblock and enjoy a few hours away from the city!

The last Saturday in June, there was a car show, a bike riding class, a nude beach clean-up and more! They even have monthly summer Star Parties after dark with the Rose City Astronomers and Oregon Museum of Science and Industry co-hosting.

There are plenty of trails and lots of beach.

You can buy a daily parks pass for $5, a yearly one for entrance to all Oregon day fee parks, or Oregon 40% disabled vets can get one free from the state.
