This is a great place to visit at any time of the year, including the holidays when they have the whole place decked out in Christmas lights. It also skirts one of the coastal hike paths, so it acts as a little place of respite to unpack your lunch and relax before getting back on the trail.

Shore Acres is a 3-in-1 deal like no place I have ever been: A viewpoint, storm-gazing location looking over amazing rock creations, pools, and splashing waves; Gorgeous groomed ocean-edge botanical garden with greenhouse, rose and dahlia gardens, and pond; and beautiful beach cove you can hike down to!
Such interesting history, too.
Couldn't recommend visiting this area more highly!

A nice lady in Newport told us about the place and we are very glad she did. It is as noted a state park, but it is also a beautiful garden
the flowers were still blooming when we got there, especially the roses that you can not grow in Florida where we live.

This place is wonderful at Christmas and wonderful the rest of the year. Well kept and you can watch the whales go by and not be out in the chilly cold wind which is normal for this place. Well worth visiting.
