“Surly service and inedible food”

The waitress was surly and inattentive. The corned beef hssh came out of a can and looked and tasted like dog food.

“Great Little Cafe, Excellent Service, Food served hot and fresh”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Now if you are expecting gourmet food, skip KJ's. In fact, skip Chemult. You are not going to find it in this town. what you are going to find is standard diner fair done as well as it can be with good flavors and good service. Yes, there's a lot of frying going on, but the food is not greasy,it is nice and crispy dry on the outside juicy on the inside. The waiter has a great dry sense of humor and we were served fast, inside 15 minutes for 5 adults and 4 children.

“Unexpected fun stop”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We had a great time here, more for the service then the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was fine. Good portion size and high quality. Sandwiches and soup were hot, and fresh. The best part was our server. He had a dry, somewhat sarcastic tone, that might be a put off to some, but we loved it! Typing out our conversation would not do it justice, so if in the area, check it out for yourself!

“A True Roadside Diner.”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We were on our way from Medford to Crater Lake to Bend when we stopped in at the now renamed KJ's Wagon Wheel Cafe. It was around 2pm on the 5th of July and the place was pretty busy with the long-holiday-weekend-travelers out in force. This is truly a roadside-diner-style-restaurant with mom-pop and daughter playing their respective roles in the kitchen and in the dining room. We all had different sandwiches and various brands of bottled craft beer, which was just what we needed. The young lady who waited on us was cheerful and friendly and attentive. Between waiting on many other tables and tending the cash register, she still kept a close eye on the four of us at the counter and kept us happy. One thing that caught my eye that I will definitely have to try next time was their assortment of homemade pies in the chilled case--they all looked really good! Altogether, this was a delightful stop along the way for any traveler wanting more than just a Subway Sandwich-which they were in direct competition with at the truck-stop next door!

“Great Personal Service”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

You couldn't ask for a more genial group. They are professional and have a solid menu. My salad was nice and fresh and the steak was perfectly medium rare. A great team of restaurant workers.
