We have driven across the bridge but this trip we were pleasantly surprised @ the cool mural on the cement support for the bridge. Watching cars crossing the see through grating from below was an eerie experience.

Interesting structure from the '30s with a great view of the Columbia River. Stevenson on the other side has some good eating places, too. Pleasant, friendly toll collectors seem happy to see you and take your dollar.

While staying nearby at the Best Western Columbia River Inn, my husband and I drove back and forth across this bridge. It's really neat, but as someone who is scared of heights, I was a bit freaked out! It's not super high, but those see-through grates! Yikes. Only a dollar to cross each way. It was foggy and drizzling when we were there which made it even more cool to look at.

This is a very scenic and historic bridge that crosses The Columbia form Cascade Locks Oregon to Stevenson Washington. You have to drive slow for safety but that allows you to take in the great view up-river and down-river!
