“A dollar never went so far!”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

This is a very scenic and historic bridge that crosses The Columbia form Cascade Locks Oregon to Stevenson Washington. You have to drive slow for safety but that allows you to take in the great view up-river and down-river!

“Beautiful view.”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

Cool bridge. Interesting history. Bridge is worth it. Fruit stand on the side of the road is not. Don't fall for all the guys holding the cherries signs like we did. They are a rip off and over ripe. The bridge though, that's worth it.

“Dizzying heights”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

This bridge is old and with the height one always wonders how long it will stand. Ok, just a little speculative terror!! You can also hike across this bridge which makes for extraordinary photography too!!

“The Gods”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

To see this manmade bridge that links both very scenic states Washington to Oregon at the narrowest part of the mighty Columbia River Gorge that was once naturally obstructed by a huge landslide long ago, but in modern times that obstruction has been altered by man of course to make passage that once drowned many pioneers back in the day but today it is a scenic heaven often over looked by the casual traveler but of course always striving the divert my travels away from the beaten path this majestic jewel is a special place frequented by the locals.
It reminds me of the Catskill mountain ranged located in upstate New York but much more beautiful and wild, also I would like to warn the casual traveler of the very real hazards that threaten unattended small pets such as cats and even small dogs, the term eagle eye definitely applies here ad I ought to know because four days ago some kind of wild animal carried off one of my beloved cats, gone without a trace and there were many people around and it was only 5pm so heed this warning pets lovers. Camping is available all over the area at very reasonable prices , the fishing in August can not be beat for steelhead lovers but out of stators beware fishing licenses are expensive but I think 3 day passes are available, the fishing is thrilling to witness. S stop in some time for a quick enjoyable visit you won't be disappointed.
