It's a bridge... Over a pretty expanse of water. There is a $1 each way toll to drive across it. It's on the way from Pertland to Hood River so it doesn't hurt to stop, but it's not a place I would consider a destination on its own.

One of the oldest bridges on the Columbia....tight...steel mesh surface...great fun; definitely the most enjoyable of the bridges.

We used this attractive bridge to cross the Columbia River during our road trip. There is a small toll fee to drive over and the bridge looks really attractive from both viewing it from the river banks as well as when you drive over it and can admire the metal work up close.

I am not sure how many pictures I took of the bridge .... It was impressive. Took the walk and read the history the the bridge. Worth the short walk.

You need a good head for heights on this bridge as you can see right through the floor as you drive across. there is a parking area and diner just underneath the bridge on the Oregon side that gives you amazing views of it and the gorge. There is a toll to cross it but it's only a couple of dollars and well worth it.
