We had a reservation for 5 nights in a cabin here (Lukey's cabin) and extended it for a 6th night because we liked the hiking in the area and really enjoyed the cabin. There was nothing great about the cabin's location (basically in a gravel parking lot), but it was private and removed from the site of the other cabins and inside there were two separate beds (one in a master bedroom and one in the main room--we used the main room bed as a sofa). There was A/C in both rooms. The bathroom was clean and had a jetted tub. The kitchen had a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and lots of pots and pans. They were a little short of glasses and cups, but we were only 2 people, so we did fine with 2, and I assume they would have brought us more if we needed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests. Having a coin operated 24-hour laundry on the premises was terrific. The title "motel and RV park" doesn't necessarily give the best impression of the cabins here--they were really quite nice, clean, and recently remodeled. We would certainly stay here again. It was easy access for hiking and a lot less expensive than Hood River.

We stayed in cabin #5. Owners said it was just built and it appeared brand new inside. Kind of fun how new it is. Very clean. New appliances include toaster coffee pot blender fridge two burner electric glass top and a coffee bean grinder. Drip coffee no espresso maker. Jetted tub for one. AC unit behind new faux leather futon. Not a ton of utensils so don't go all gourmet until you get there to see what you need. Two flat screen TVs one in bedroom. Owners were super nice. They allow pets in #5.

Looking for a place to stay during my trip eastbound to take care of some personal business. Pulled off to look in Cascade Locks Oregon. I prefer to say (when motorcycling) in places that aren't major 'chains', saw this motel, pulled in and parked next to a bike similar to mine. Checked in an was immediately presented with an ice cold beverage and a question -- We just finished some great home made spaghetti, interested? Yes ... whoa! Where'd they find THIS chef, yummy! I attempted to pay for the beverage and the spaghetti / drink ... answer? No thanks, it's on the house!

Room was quiet, guests were positive and upbeat as were the staff - felt like I wanted to stay longer! Needed to run, but I sure know where I'm staying on the trip back! Wonderful spot, personable staff, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms -- Recommended!

Room Tip: I stayed in the main part of the motel, I'll try a cabin next time for comparison

We were looking for a hotel room last minute on our trip, and the other couple of hotels in the area were pretty expensive. The owner was exceptionally reasonable and helped us out. Our room was very nice an clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and was perfect for our one night stay. We appreciated the hospitality at such a late hour and were even offered free DVDs to watch if we wanted. Great place to stay and the price was reasonable considering how nice the room was.

more so then not, it seems our trips are last minute decisions. When finding a place to stay, sometimes we luck out and sometimes we don't, this motel was a good surprise. Mr. Hicks (owner) was at the front desk and very accommodating. When reaching our room entrance, there was the most beautiful flower arrangement, the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Our bathroom had a double size jetted tub with a shower. The motel is located in the center of town, with in walking distance to some great sight seeing.
