My husband and I stayed at this wonderful Inn for 2 nights on our 1st wedding anniversary. Thanks to a glowing referral from a local wine tasting room we were saved from our less than romantic hotel and sent to meet Bruce and Susan. We drove up to the Inn past the private pond and knew we were somewhere special. The innkeepers met us and set us up with their nicest room, as we were visiting in the off season in the middle of the week we were lucky enough to be the only guests and couldn't believe our luck. After heading out for dinner we returned to the quiet cottage and unpacked in the spacious room. We climbed into the king sized bed and slept better than on any vacation we can remember. The amazing sheets and blankets and quiet environment was a welcome change from the creaky and musty b and b's we had experienced.

We woke up to the smell of fresh french press coffee and homemade scones, and were treated to 2 different gourmet breakfasts - my husband can't stop talking about the wet eggs with proscuitto.

I could go on forever about this great place, but if you are planning a trip to Oregon wine country and you enjoy the beauty of nature and the comforts of a one of a kind Inn run by two amazing and interesting people, this is the place to stay. We will be back, and we will never forget the amazing time we had.

I moved to Oregon just less than a year ago and have been looking forward to visiting the Dundee area to go winery hopping for months. Choosing the right overnight accommodations were vital to me as I was entertaining an out of town guest. I couldn't be more happy with choosing the Brookside Inn. From the moment we stepped in, the owners, Bruce & Susan greeted us warmly and treated us truly as guests in their own home.

We stayed in the Kyoto suite in the main house and it was a good size, with sliding doors which provide a breath of fresh air and a nice view of the property. The Inn itself (including the acreage surrounding the property) is quaint, beautiful and extremely comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful homemade breakfast and I'd have to say our stay at the Inn helped make this a perfect mid-winter trip. Most importantly, my out of town friend was really impressed.

Definitely coming back to spend some time during the summer months when the surroundings (and weather) will be even more beautiful.

We visited the Inn twice, when it first opened in June and again around Thanksgiving. The grounds are beautiful and the Inn is lovely and inviting. The room we stayed in was a bit cozy but nonetheless comfortable and quiet. We can be a little fussy when it comes to hotel beds, but we had no problems here. The bed and linens were great. There's plenty of room to relax (or socialize) inside the Inn or outside on one of the decks or just wandering about the grounds. The Inn's location is perfect for exploring the wine country and Bruce and Susan are wonderful hosts - - friendly and very helpful with winery and restaurant recommendations and reservations. And the food was delicious! We'll definitely visit the Inn again.

My husband and I have stayed twice at the Brookside Inn on Abbey Road. Our first visit was right after the Inn opened. Our second was in November and we could definitely see that Bruce and Susan had been busy! The Inn shined with cleanliness and Susan's attention to detail could not be missed. Bruce's culinary prowess in the kitchen was evident on both mornings in which we enjoyed (and devoured) a wonderful poached egg on polenta and the next day a beautiful crab cake! We are looking forward to our next visit. We will be back.

I took my wife for her 30th birthday to stay at the Brookside Inn. The B&B was tucked away in a very tranquil piece of the Willamette Valley: very central to all the wineries.

The service was excellent! Bruce & Susan recommended some excellent winery tours and directed us to some of the best restaurants in the area.

The accommodations were top notch! We travel with our Great Dane puppy so it is quite hard to find a really nice B&B that accepts pets. Bruce & Susan have a large property where our dog could run and play. Our room was a good size for the price and came with high end toiletries and towels. One added benefits is the large pond on the property: which I hear is soon to be stocked with rainbow trout.

The breakfasts were wonderful! We love food and Bruce & Susan share this same passion. The scones & crab cakes were excellent.

My only recommendation would be to add armoires/closets to the rooms so there would be space to store clothing.

All-in-all my wife was very happy to stay at Brookside Inn for her 30th birthday and we are eager to return again to see all the new enhancements to the B&B!

This bed and breakfast is in a lovely, but remote setting. The rooms are very small and quite modest, but the price tag is hefty ($185).
We stayed in the Siletz Suite (?), a tiny room with a double bed (ugh) and only a small rocking chair to sit in. There was no place to hang anything and the bathroom had a noisy fan that would automatically come on with the light. Their was no place in the bathroom to put our toiletries.
The breakfast that the owners made was delicious. The problem was that they only served granola with a little fruit, scones and pancakes. Too many carbs. Where was the protein?
We were awakened by a loud noise at 5am. The painting over the bed (large) fell out of the wall (secured by only one very small nail), hit the headboard and then our heads. It didn't draw any blood, but was heavy and I received quite a bump and headache. The owners were nice and very sorry, but no effort was made to recompense us in any way. It would have been a nice gesture for them to give us a coupon for a percentage off a room the next time we visited. We never would go back, but we would have left with kinder thoughts and I wouldn't have written this review.
On a positive note, the linens were very nice and the mattress was comfortable.

At Brookside Inn we take our guests concerns and feedback to heart and work hard to make adjustments and improvements based on their thoughts.
We recently purchased the Inn and are working bit by bit to update the Inn. Guests can expect wonderful improvements each time they visit. We started with the mattresses, towels and bed linens to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. We offer and have always offered only king and queen size beds at our Inn.
We take the safety of our guests very seriously and have just finished checking all of the art in the Inn to ensure that it is properly and securely hung.
We enjoy trying new items for breakfast and making something different each day to ensure that guests get a wide variety of Northwest cuisine over the duration of their stay. The morning meal always includes homemade granola and yogurt as well as fresh baked scones. Each main breakfast entrée is unique and wonderful and based somewhat on the mood of the chef. Sometimes he’s in the mood for a healthy protein packed breakfast and sometimes he offers good old fashioned comfort food. Our pancakes are served with sausage.
Rooms at inns in the wine country range from $130 to $500 a night and we feel that our rooms are priced accordingly for the central wine country location and wide range of amenities the Inn currently provide.
Sincerely,
Susan and Bruce Bandstra
